When it comes to recumbent bike touring across Australia's rugged backroads, practicality is key. Especially when navigating remote areas where water scarcity is a real concern, a setup that can carry a week's supply becomes essential. But, let's face it, those long stretches up the Great Dividing Range or battling headwinds can be brutal. Imagine if we could harness the sun's power for a little electronic pedal assist... Now that would make those challenging climbs and breezy days a whole lot easier!
I love your setup, I got to get me a recumbent to help with my disabilities and a roof for shade. Thanks for some ideas an inspiration and good luck with your journeys.
It is not a problem of space or weight. At the beginning of my trip, 6 years ago, I had both tend and sleeping bag. After I lost everything in Africa, and spent 2 years living in the desert without tent and sleeping bag, I feel I don't need them. Last 4 years I tried to avoid winter. In the next months I wil see if I will change it
Hello from Russia. If you go to Russia, and you need to buy something from the equipment, then buy it in the EU. We have a price for everything x2 here. Take pity on your wallet)) Buy a sleeping bag for sure, Russia is not Europe or Africa, at night it can easily be up to 0. And this is if there is no good, downy sleeping bag 100% death from hypothermia. I'm a cyclist myself, and I know what I'm saying. Greetings from Russia, from the city of Sochi.
I am already in Russia without sleeping bag. Last year I came back to Europe in late autumn. It was cold in eastern Europe, lot of snow. -5 degree. I survived 😂
@@Recumbenttrike I'm going on a trike in winter around Africa, with a trip to Madagascar) I'm getting ready now. Before that, I went on bike trips for a maximum of 600 km.
Wow, He is incredible!

He just needs my ebike solar trailer now.
A solar panel, 100 W, would be enough😂
