    10 months later this comparison is still the best video out there. I have my 3 pro with RC-N1 and totally feel all the hassle, but for the price it is unbeatable. Also, one more issue is the DJI RC is going to be replaced by the RC 2 soon, I dont think I will vote for it now.

  • @hawklord122
    @hawklord122 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Great video, you're one of the few I've found that mentions third part software, this can be a game changer. I have a Mini SE and flew exclusively on Litchi.
    I've upgraded to the Mini 3 and would like to use Litchi on this drone, the Litchi pilot software is in its early stages. So the RC N-1 is a no brainer for me.
    I have to say that it took me a long time to find the information that the DJI RC does not accept third party app. Well don Sir.

  • @KikiDaily09

    i owned both of these. i have to say the main thing i like the RC because of the weight balance. it's not top heavy as the rc-n1 when your phone mounted. the lightweight of the rc makes it better experience.. The big cons on the rc is the screen recording only can do 720p. the rc-n1 well depend on your smartphone to do screen recording..

    I bought the mini 2 se which came with standard controller the RC n1. My problem I got is that in the settings I have the offline maps option so I can download maps to use when I haven't got WiFi or data connection. So I've downloaded some maps to use, but when I get to where there is no WiFi or data connection, set up the drone ready to fly I get a message on screen that says connect to data and GPS and won't allow me into the fly app to allow me to fly. Any body have any solutions that could help.

    I feel like the availability of inexpensive super bright android phones gives the N1 the advantage, that screen on the RC is small, dim, and it apparently has reduced range?
    I use a dedicated old android phone for the drone, not my actual device, its a game changer.

    I've got an RC-N1 at the moment but seriously thinking about getting an RC just to eliminate the constant hassle of having to connect my phone. The one thing that puts me off is it looks your hands block part of the screen with the it being below the thumb sticks. Is that a problem?

    • @plasticdope
      @plasticdope หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I dont think it is a big problem, you may indeed cover like 10% of the screen sometimes. My deal breaker is the future proof, because the RC is not compatible with newer drones anymore (same as the N1) but the price is more expensive.

      With my RC2 (for the Air 3 and Mini 4 Pro) I've just connected a 5 inch HDMI monitor with a USBC to HDMI adapter and then put the monitor in my Drone Mask goggles. I don't think that the original DJI RC supports HDMI out of the USB port though.

    • @fabioluizgalerani9503
      @fabioluizgalerani9503 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@flyingfilmmaker interesting, using this adapter will the monitor require power? Or this connection will provide the power and image signal on the same connection? What is the brand/model monitor you are using? I'm now considering mini 4 within rc2. Thanks

    • @flyingfilmmaker
      @flyingfilmmaker  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@fabioluizgalerani9503 This is the one I use but there are a lot of similar ones out there. amzn.to/3TOc61U The adapter just lets you output HDMI from the controller, and I just power the monitor with the included battery, or it can be powered via USB. I already had the monitor though, so if you'll have to buy that separately, it might a lot simpler to just feed HDMI into HDMI goggles with built in screens like this one, which costs about the same as a HDMI monitor. amzn.to/41IDD6A

    Watched a few vids on the RC, but no one seems to talk about bluetooth the pics to the phone for a text rather than a mini SD to a card reader into the phone. I routinely take pics for customers using RTH so the pics are sent off before the drone even lands. The phone photoshops out defects/my work truck/whatever. Then my phone # & Thanks embedded in the bottom corner. They are impressed and I get referrals. 😎 N-1 wins.
