Thanks! I always feel funny making update videos because I’m always doing the same stuff 😆 It’s nice to know it’s helpful and people still get something out of the videos.
I don't always comment but I look forward to your videos! I love that you're consistent and I'm always left with something to think about or research. Happy New Year!🎉
Thanks 😃 I really enjoy your channel and look forward to your videos as well. Your one of the few YT homeschoolers I consistently watch! Happy New Year to you as well 😁
My little girl has adhd too I started working out with her in the morning doing TH-cam videos like PE with Mr G and Kids yoga and stuff before school and it really helps her concentrate. Some new research has talked about benefits for caffeine but we do no sugar for adhd so maybe some iced tea with lemon as she gets older we will try lol
I’m wondering if you can share your pace for using AAR 2 in terms of how much you complete in a week and if you only do it once per day? And how do you integrate the Journeys and Trophies readers? The phonograms covered didn’t align with the AAR sequence of phonograms and reading rules so I had trouble using it and have shelved it until we finish level 2 and maybe even level 3 as well. I’d love to know how it’s working for you?
We do AAR 2 once a day M-TH. A lesson will usually take us 2 or 3 days. we use the trophies/journey readers on Fridays. I usually have her read the full story from the book. If we encounter a word or phonogram we haven’t gone over yet, I just help her with it. I am more focused on building her stamina and fluency at this point. I have found most readers don’t align perfectly.
Do you do the CK history and science that matches up with the CKLA? I love Core Knowledge but I can't figure out how to fit CKLA, CKHG and CKSci in together.
I don’t match the units up. There is a link on the website homeschool work plans that gives an outline schedule if you choose to do all the CK units for each level. Pick your grade level and scroll down to the bottom and click on “daily schedule” it will give an outline that matches all the units up. Sounds like you've had a great school year and your girl has learned a lot about herself which is amazing 👏 keep up the good work 😊!
Thanks!
My two youngest have adhd, so thats fun. Im glad the workbook is helping.
It’s definitely new territory for me! If you ever have any suggestions please feel free to share 😃
Your videos are never boring to me! It’s awesome to see someone so consistent in their choices. I struggle with that part. But I will work on it.
