I love MEMORIA PRESS Enrichment because of the books!!! Especially the Science Books! They are so age appropriate and I love how much they turn each week into a small Unit Study. It is fantastic how they blend even Health anf Nutrition with it. We are using the K Enrichment. We just stared about two weeks ago and I am loving it. I am not sure if we will use it next year because I would love to try Llamitas Spanish and maybe Beautiful Mundo as well, or Llamitas and Torchlight Level K. But great choices!!! We also have used Logic of English with my 10 year old boy from the beginning and love it! But we start alphabetizing later than everyone in English since we do it in Spanish first. We will start LOE Foundations A in First Grade with my daughter 😊
These are all of the reasons why I love Memoria Press Enrichment as well! I've been poking around at some different Spanish curriculums, I'll have to check out the ones you mentioned :)
We are currently using the Kindergarten enrichment from MP and love the read alouds also. I have first grade ready to go when we are done with the Kindergarten one. I struggle with finding time for the crafts, but I try to get at least two per month in. I’m torn between using Rod and Staff or CLE for math for 1st grade.
MP Enrichment curriculum is so fun! I'm happy to hear another family enjoys it as well ☺ I don't have any experience with CLE Math but I've seen a good amount of people share that they use it in their homes. I don't know if I'll have a review video up of Rod and Staff by the time you need to make a decision, but I will say that it's pretty teacher intensive. If that can work for you, I think it's an incredibly solid program.
We are using the kindergarten enrichment from memoria press. So far it’s been great so I plan on getting first grade for next year. My kid loves science so we will be using something else. The literature, art and music is fantastic.
I have a bad habit of purchasing curriculum far too early and I purchased Grade 1 Math from Rod & Staff because I loved how "old school" and basic it is (I'm not Christian). However, I decided to use Singapore Math 1A/1B instead and will keep Rod & Staff as an extra program just in case we need it.
We’re doing Memoria press enrichment as well for kindergarten. I really like the dash into handwriting I haven’t heard of it before. I heard about the readers just not the handwriting
Yes the readers are super popular! We have really enjoyed the handwriting books. I hope you guys enjoy the Kinder enrichment, I thought it was so fun and sweet last year 💛
I didn’t watch your video on why MWC didn’t work, but if TGTB math was too spiral and MWC was too hands on/busy. I’d highly recommend Apologia math. I switched my twins from TGTB math to it in 3rd grade and it has been the best! It’s mastery based with review. My youngest daughter is doing MWC and she LOVES the workbook. I just modify the teaching portion of it cause it is way too complicated at times and too long to hold her attention. From the teacher standpoint I def prefer Apologia math and she will get switched to that at some point.
I have heard people rave about Apologia! It's definitely a favorite in the HS world! My daughter also likes the workbook for MWC, I just wish teaching it wasn't so painful 🥲 Rod and Staff has been really great actually, I'm impressed with how they approach the foundational learning. But I haven't decided on next year's curriculum for sure yet, so I will take a look at Apologia for 2nd grade :)
Ok so, this is all you use for the whole year for your 1st year of homeschool for your daughter? Or do you add more books to this curriculum?? I’m sorry I am new in this curriculum stuff
Yep! I have phonics, language arts, math, handwriting, history/ culture/ science, literature, and math listed here! The Memoria Press Enrichment Curriculum has a different picture book chosen for each lesson for each week, and there are supplemental books to get for the science/ history and culture portions, too. So, lots and lots of books! This doesn't include the books she chooses to read for herself during the week, nor the read alouds we do as a family. Since this video has been posted, I've made a short of all of the Memoria Press books for this year's enrichment and also a full flip through for Memoria Press Enrichment for 1st grade. I'll link them in the description box so you can get to them if you'd like!!
Math with Confidence didn't work for us either. We didn't end up finishing the curriculum and switched to TGTB level K which we are going to finish and then We are going to give Apologia Mathematics a try this year.
We finished up TGTB Math K and we had no problems with it! I think for a kinder curriculum it's a great exposure to foundational math principles. I've heard really great things about Apologia Math, I hope it works out with you guys :)
We love Apologia math! We have used TGTB and MWC math as well and imho Apologia is the sweet spot! I recommend it to anyone looking for a math program. But as always different things work for different families/kids. ❤
Math with confidence didn't work for us either. I liked it, but my son said "its too easy for me I want a challenge and math with no games" lol he's 6 and "kindergarten" Now we are using Christian Light Education grade level 1 and he loves it!
For language arts we do a combination of Memoria Press and Logic of English. Memoria Press Enrichment program has a literature read aloud each week with an accompanying teacher guide that has picture and reading comprehension questions and vocabulary. Logic of English has phonetics, spelling, sentence structure and more reading comprehension. As far as history and science go, for 6 and 7 year olds the Memoria Press Enrichment Guide has a history/ social studies/ science book option as well and a short lesson. This is more than enough in my opinion for this age for my kids for those subjects :)
Thank you for taking the time to make this video and share!

I agree the science is minimal if you're looking for more of an impactful option for that subject! What did you guys decide to use for science?
Those are great resources! May you have a wonderful year! 💗☺️
Thank you!

I've been guilty of that as well 😆!

@@MindfullyLiv Oh Ok, is a good combo, i will start getting mine. Thank you for your help 🙏🏼 and please keep making videos.
New subscriber! I use alot of the same curriculum!
Hi Elaine! Welcome ☺ I hope your guys school year is going great!

❤❤❤❤❤❤
Do you not use the simplified feast anymore.
I never used The Simplified Feast as my core curriculum, but I pull out the crafts and recipes often!
What do you do for your full language arts curriculum and history and science
For language arts we do a combination of Memoria Press and Logic of English.
