How to synchronize the carburetors on your Honda Goldwing GL1500 1988-2000. The sequel to my previous carb sync video when I was stuck with cheap a cheap gauge set. Motion pro and Bikemaster gauges where a total failure, I spent the money on a K&L set and it is worth it.

The “ text” communication at the start of each video is excellent. Your work is clear and confident and confidence inspiring. Please keep it up!

Good vids no messing around, to the point. Sometimes the camera shot does not show what both hands are doing which means guessing by the viewer. Back on a 1995 GW and sidecar, its fun finding out and remembering at 72 years of age; not ridden since mid 20s.

Nice close view.... honda's plastic must be really good stuff since anything you have to do requires plastic removal! Probably a good idea replacing those rubber grommets every now and then.

At least replace the grommets where that's the only anchor the piece has... The small side covers, little fender panels, panel on top of the cowl.

On what side do you work to balance them? Do you lower the high reading side, or do you increase the low reading one? Or it doesnt matter?

The left side carburetor is stable and you cannot adjust it, the right side is the only one you adjust. Just figure out which way to turn the screw to start bringing the readings together.

I just found your channel. I have an 1988 GL1500 and need to replace the fuel sending unit. Have you ever replaced one? If so any tips to make the process easier?

I take it you're talking about the fuel pump, I have a video dedicated solely to the diagnostic and replacement of the fuel pump so check out my page under the GL 1500 repairs

No I was referring to the fuel sending unit on the left side of the bike behind the reverse lever

the part that tells the guage how much fuel is in the tank

Okay gotcha, I don't have a video on it but these are super easy in any bike. On the goldwing it is on the left side if you're sitting on the motorcycle on the side of the tank on the forward side. You're literally just going to unbolt that cap and the sending unit will be attached to it. Just do a simple swap out
