Peter really saved him that extra 5%😂
Sweet of Peter to coax Touker into a happy outcome. Wonderful to see the soft side of the Dragons.
Toukers favourite word's are "but it comes at a price" 😂😂
He's modern day Rumpelstiltskin
He's such a weird little thing
Well done Touker. Touker to the rescue again. What a legend.
First time a product on dragons looked way too familiar only to realise that my lanlord has brought this guys product😮
There you go. I'm so happy for him. He seems like a genuine guy whose solving a real problem. Do you find his device easy to use?
Does it really have 2 hour max time?! What happens when you want your heat running all night in the middle of winter?!
on the pitch he says you can add more time to it...@@LunchMeatTrump
@@LunchMeatTrump that’s the issue to be honest.
@@LunchMeatTrump Why in God's good name are you keeping your heating running all night!? Save that money and invest in a duvet instead...
Tucker and his daylight robberies
you can say no
Agree
I work in the energy sector. This is a great idea for disengaged customers that just want an easy way to heat their homes. But Touker had a point. There are a LOT of technology firms coming onto the market that are optimising heating that are waaay more competitive. I'd be interested to see where this technology ends up, there are perhaps some use cases for diengaged consumers I can imagine but otherwise compared to other stuff coming onto the market... idk
I bet he is hoping he gets an EXIT from one of the big boys....they just buy his customers/tech and improve on it. Saves a hella lot of their money time effort and labor--if someone else already did it. Then they just improve on his ....
If I were the dragon there I would've been so impressed with his ability to make a quick joke to release tension then hold strong and get that 5%. I'd be happy to give up the 5% at that point knowing this guy knows how to get a better deal which in the long run will be better for my investment.
Are the dragons on crack?? As an ex plumber and now an embedded software engineer we have had these designs on thermostats for the past 18 years!!!! Wtf did i just watch? No one in the comments haven't seen these before? Wake up world!!!
I feel like smart home tech will obliterate him, but I could see this in hotels.
Not to mention its absolutely ridiculous to have stat on for only 2 hour max!! I know a lot of brits sleep under double duvets wearing socks (believe me it's very common here😮!!) but rest of the world wants simply warm rooms all night long 😂
Whats even more of a joke is that these designs have been around for 18 years!!!
Touker puts on his green glasses when he is being nice that should be a massive clue to the applicants
Intense negotiations
I have one of them in my house , It was installed 25 years ago
Why would I buy this instead of just buying a simpler thermostat?
Alternatively you could just slip a couple of bob to an 8 year old to program you're thermostat for you!
I'm shocked Touker didn't mention his offices. 😮😮😮😮😮😮
Great deal 🎉🎉🎉
Unless this can be controlled remotely, I don’t see how this isn’t already solved by timer switches? 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve already got a system that’s exactly the same
Sarah, you rock. I am such a fan💓girl
Now make the same thing for air conditioners. The Summer Air BnB places
will buy em like mad
What is fair is fair
Hold up havent we got british gas stats out there that are super easy to use!!!
He wanted Deborah.
Playing their game, at 25% he’s valuated the business at £240,000 and £400,000 at 20% after he gets his money back- what a scam either way for a business doing so well already
Touker's the equivalent of Duncan Bannatyne- greedy af!
Did he say if he had Patents or not?
Touker would be a nightmare to work with
I disagree, he come across someone who would give you time office staff, hes says look I've got a team, debbie would be a nightmare along with Peter, the other guy just does tic tock and FB, and the other women does needle craft and knighting so she be no good
I've never seen touker going in for any less than 35%
This product already looks dated. Why doesn't it connect to home WiFi, and have an app like Tapo (for lighting) where you can slap it on when you leave work and are going to be home soon? Or if you're in another room, you can just app to it and turn it on. Or if you're an old geeza in a wheelchair but you have a phone or tablet, you can use the app to turn it on. Physically pressing the button is great for making people go to the effort to do things. It means they really want it on, and might think twice about whether they need it on or not. But by NOT being more tech and convenience focused, you are going to lose to anyone else who comes along and puts it onto the WiFi and an app.
Touker,it's not a bad idea to retire now
But Hive is so easy to use...
Wouldn't the shift towards solar panelled houses make this product obselete?
Most properties in the UK are heated by gas rather than electricity. Solar panelling reduces the electricity usage but not the gas.
@@scottwallbank4794 I get that. Same in Ireland. I'm saying the new shift for homes. Most new builds in Ireland have shifted away from gas and even get government grants to go solar. The world will go this way
🔥 😂
Why did you edit this down to like a TikTok version... Sucked the soul out of Dragon's Den...
Worst hilight ever.... Should've made it 60 seconds episode!!!!
What happens when you have this thermostat on a cold winter night and want your heat running all night? Do you need to install multiple thermostats?! I don't understand the 2 hour max time.
No, you need to put an alarm on your phone to wake you up every 2 hours to add time to the thermostat ... I don't understand the whole product at all.
@@SirNoviTheChauvi Yea I could only see this thing being useful to people who rarely even have to run their heat.
@@LunchMeatTrump Don't quote me but i think i heard the guy say that the thermostat can be put on for longer periods
