So glad I was a teenage boy growing up in the 70s! The music, undeniably was/is the best. Too hard to grow up in this generation, I wouldn’t want to. The talent 40 years ago was real and raw. Kids, when your parents talk about music they listened to in their day, don’t laugh like I did, now I know what they were talking about. It will come full circle for most of us

'Dancing Queen' by Abba. Released Dec. 1976. Hit No. 1 and on the US charts for 22 weeks.
A '70s discotheque staple! I loved this record back in '77-78 (...still do).

ABBA "Fernando" & "Winner takes All" are my favorites from ABBA! As usual, your reactions are the best --so
    genuine, pure & honest!!
You have it right that telling the younger generation about this music is the greatest because most of the younger folks
come on board & become fans!
That is why music lives on & gives us hope for all the future generations!
It means that we never lose our ability to.listen with our hearts & souls! I( If it's not soulful, it's not music!!) It is obvious that
music is one of God's many gifts!

ABBA are an incredible group. They sound so beautiful.
If you react to another Abba song James please consider reacting to "The way Old Friends Do" live at Wembley Arena in London, it's amazing. This live version turned out so good that they decided to put it on their next album, INSTEAD of recording it in the studio.
    The Seekers
    Abba
    Roy Orbison
    John Denver
& Simon & Garfunkel are all amazing talents that you have still yet to fully discover.
ESPECIALLY ➡️ The Seekers (my number 1 recommendation).
Suggestions for other top acts that you might enjoy include.... U2 , Take That, Buddy Holly, Del Shannon, The Verve, REM.

Yes! Everyone needs more ABBA in their lives!
They were 2 couples and wrote the catchiest 3 minute pop songs ever created. At the beginning of their success they were about love but then they started to split up so they then wrote songs about heartache and divorce. By the time the ban ended they were doing songs about hiding from the East German police during the Cold War all with a disco beat.
I really hope you do more of ABBA!

Thank you for appreciating ABBA. I saw them in Melbourne Australia, when I was 13 years old. I also came within a few metres of them at the Town Hall when they waved to thousands of fans. ABBA were on the radio waves and TV every day in Australia, in the late 1970s. I am going to London in October to see the ABBA Voyage concert. What made ABBA legends was there music arrangements with the music and their voices. The band almost broke up recording this song Dancing Queen because the piano player and leader of this band seen on this video wanted to get everything just right and made the ladies record their parts and the chorus parts over and over again. The chords and orchestration of this song are also the most respected arrangements in the history of pop music. That's a fact. No other pop song gets near this combination of sounds ever. That's talent.

I just thought of a song I think you'd like "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves. I saw Katrina from Katrina and the Waves last year and she was great. Very funny. She was part of the Howard Jones tour (6 bands) and she went on first, so she got to play maybe 6 songs. She played her songs which were all fun, and then said, "Now for the song you've all been waiting for. The latest off my new album." And then broke into Walking on Sunshine. We were cracking up.

Great comments on Abba. Their video of Dancing Queen performed in Australia (from Abba The Movie) really shows the impact they had on people.

Abba won the Eurovision contest in 1974 and they were on their way, at one time they brought in more money into Sweden's economy than Volvo, they are a worldwide still popular still loved group that no one can replace

Firts time i heard this song it felt like it is me in my heart. No other song ever make me feel this way. It was so good and liberator. I like that people rediscover good music and songs from the past. Music and songs are about energy and emotion. We need more that give positiv emotion with a nice sound.
