10/10. As an Argonian enthusiast, this is the best representation of Argonians I have ever encountered. I especially like that you give proper respect to the Sarpa lore. I can't wait to play this
This looks truly excellent guys! From the new creature models to the ambiance of the environments or the battle music, it all feels on point. Very exciting content!
If you had to describe the major regions of Argonia/Black Marsh, what would those be? Hyped for this btw, been a Argonian fan since morrowind and its cool to see their homeland become the setting
There are a lot of major regions in Argonia, depending on whether you're dividing it up by biomes or politically. If you're interested in biomes, there's the overhead map that came out on Christmas 2023 (we've done one every year for a while so you can find older ones too). That'll give you a bird's eye view of all of Beyond Skyrim, including Argonia. If you see something specific there that interests you, feel free to ask about it. Politically, the major regions there are: The Kronkassa Maxalkal: the nation ruled by the An-Xileel. Before the Umbriel Crisis it controlled 90+% of Argonia. Only Thorn officially held out against it, though Gideon went back and forth between between being ruled by the An-Xileel and being in rebellion and controlled by opposition leadership. After Umbriel, their territories fractured. The Maxalkal currently controls Blackrose/Vakarusa, Lilmoth, and Archon. the Ternian League (Gideon, Soulrest/Soara, and Thorn), which are an alliance of discarded Imperial colonies that have resisted An-Xileel rule. Stormhold/Shaarath and Helstrom are independent of the major alliances. Stormhold/Shaarath is the epicenter of its own tribal alliance in northwestern Argonia. Helstrom is a small city-state surrounded by the mostly independent and scattered tribes of the Deep Marshes.
@Reedstilt thanks for the very detailed reply! I guess with all the different factions we might see a civil war quest line of sorts. Looking forward to this mod. Both it and the soundtrack seem the most promising of all
I keep coming back to this video for the placeholder soundtrack. Really looking forward to the full official OST, and hoping it becomes a mod for base skyrim as well
Argonia has become one of my favourite projects to look forward to. Perhaps it is also because of its lore - and certainly also because of your amazing landscaping work; it just feels so mysterious. It must be daunting and exciting both to have this freedom to design so very much but try to have it feel faithful to TES and the existing lore. It really does make me want to apply :3 I loved the stonework design and the music in this trailer especially! And those Argonians with beaks and feathers? Amazing!!
The more birdlike Argonians are known as Sarpa. If you happen to find a copy of "The Argonian Account" while wandering Skyrim, you can learn a bit more about the Sarpa and other lesser-known varieties of Argonians.
@@Reedstilt It's a great book! I have been deeper into Khajiiti lore for most of my playthroughs and characters but it really is the BS: Argonia project that somehow made Argonia "come to life" for me in a sense. I am really excited to see you all bring this part of Tamriel with its special culture to life :)
Thank you! Unfortunately the music used here is not the official version, but the music we produce will have similar instruments to the ones heard here. Argonia's musical style does take a good amount of inspiration from Indonesia!
We already have lots of new animations, but we do use vanilla animations where possible as it takes a lot of time and effort to create new animations from scratch.
Remarkable, I wish the Wamasus breath electricity like in ESO, but it's still a step in the right direction. Do you think you can add nagas and swamp leviathans into the mod too?
Wamasus do have an electrical attack, we just killed it so fast we didn't get to see it! As for Nagas and swamp leviathans, they are certainly on our wishlist so hopefully we will be able to include them
Slight correction on the wamasu and its shock attacks. At the time we recorded it, we only had shock damage on its bite attack implemented, which doesn't really show up since we also add god-mode enable (so the player didn't actually take damage and we wouldn't have to reshoot scenes if the player died). Other shock attacks are being added.
It depends on the compatibility of the other spear animation mod. You won't need to download Animated Armory to play Argonia, it will be implemented into the game
You know what's weird? If only Bethesda does expand(EXPANSION PACK) ES5 rather than reselling over and over again people would appreciate it the players loves the Dragonborn. The problem is the engine is too old... 12yrs at the time I was writing this. Beyond Skyrim: Argonia may i ask what would happen if attack a Giant Snail in the village will the tribe attack you?
Argonia looks absolutely stunning! Can’t wait to get lost in the marshes! ❤
Thanks!

The full OST is currently in development!
I am honestly most excited for Argonia. It's fascinating how talented and passionate you are about every Beyond Skyrim project!
Thank you!

Awesome stuff! My only complaint is that you didn't open the cages for all the critters! lol
We probably did it on the way out haha
this looks really cool
will there be new animations?
For example, i noticed the bog dog uses wolf attack animations.
We already have lots of new animations, but we do use vanilla animations where possible as it takes a lot of time and effort to create new animations from scratch.

This is great so far, when the mod comes out, is Animated armoury a must for this or would i be able to use another spear moveset?
