I'll get there someday, I've wanted the marvel epics for years. I didn't start getting them till a few months ago but I'm at 26 now. The problem is how many there is too catch up on never mind the ones I cant find. Looking forward to all the reprints next year!

Super impressive, I'm nowhere near that (50 at most). I love those epic collections and still keep buying them. Second Genesis is a particular favourite, especially as I never got to read the first couple of issues. The Conan Chronicles have been excellent, won't get the Conan epics as I have the omnis. Haven't got many completes though. Wish they would bring out a load of new epic runs such as Captain Savage, Spider-Woman, etc. You mention about the Venom, same issue for me with the new Sub-Mariner one with very little new.

I know these may be expensive to make but why do they continuously go out of print I mean I know The demand is there this has to be a really good source of income for marvel so I don't understand why they go out of print so often? Thanks
@@JonDelArroz Thanks! That's definitely something to consider. Do you notice a bug difference in durability between the two? I'm more if a DC fan than a Marvel fan, but I am collecting some Marvel. I appreciate the advice!
I buy omnibus but certain characters I'm thinking of buying epics just to get there best storyline. What xmen epic & daredevil epic # would you recommend?
I wish they kept the original paper stock of the earlier epic collections, they were much thicker and nicer to read, I would definitely be willing to be a higher price for those. I also wish they collected the complete collections in a corresponding era line of graphic novels like the epics instead of the disorganized way they do it now, would look much nicer on book shelfs.
Great, every time I want to start collecting, they decide to start selling inferior products, same thing happened with omnibuses. I’m fed up with this, I just want good quality collections of stories i love
Great video! Just out of curiosity, why would you not buy the omnis instead? I'm starting to build my x-men collection and can't decide whether to collect the Epic Line, The Milestones line or the omni's. Any advice?
I do have several omnis but I like epics better cuz they're easier to hold up and read. Omnis get a bit too heavy. I also like this matching spine design so if it's avail in epic I skip the omni, but if it's not, I get the omni.
@@JonDelArroz Thanks mate! Yeah...Omni's are a bitch to read sometimes and TPB's are way easier. But I do like having a whole run plus extras that an Omni offers. Plus tons of Epic's are OOP so that's frustrating. Thanks for the quick reply!
Man, im just trying to get my hands on the Star Wars ones, and thats been challenging enough. I can't imagine if I went for the rest. Haha thankfully, im not really interested beyond Star Wars right now.
Since I'm out of college for now, I got back into reading my Doctor Strange epics. I've been hoping to find a Moon Knight epic but they are so hard to find now :(
Most moonknight comics are really expensive. I hope you can find one though. I have a black panther one a Spider-Man one and a dr strange one because they are my favorite superheroes
@@EgyptianChiefKeef I found the whole Scarlet Redemption arc for less than 20 bucks and really enjoyed that. Doctor Strange is also one of my favs and I'm always suprised by how tricky it is to find his stuff for a decent price.
Marvel only released four volumes of Star Wars the Original Marvel Years. So I decided to buy the three Omnibus instead for the complete run. But wonderful collection!
Hmm, I really enjoyed Silver Surfer 13 so far. I think there's star wars ones from that era and they're all really solid. Most of the other marvel stuff from that era I've read has been tough to get through.
Disliked! Stop complaining about double-dipping, you knew what you were getting into, and all these crossovers are bound to double-dip into other titles.
diiferent colors than originals - computer colors - different comic books - better reprints than "essentials" but still bad reprints, still waiting till they reprint them in original form
Absolutely beautiful. I only have two Epics, both from the Incredible Hulk: Crossroads and Going Gray 🥲 I aspire to have a collection as great as yours

Yeah I know they're pushing out a few reprints but it's slow going. They'll get em available.

how does the collection compare with the deluxe famous Marvel Masterworks series? In those Epic collections, do you have color pages?

I like the epics better cuz they're about the size that's comfortable to hold. Omnibuses you gotta set down cuz they're too big.

Milestones are neat, but not really comprehensive. They're x-men events usually crossing over a few titles.

Moon Knight 1 just got announced to be reprinted. They're doing a Disney+ show so I bet they'll reprint the whole line soon.

Any specific reason to push the books all the way to the back rather than front of the shelf?
That way when I touch one I don't push it back and have it dangling back there when the others aren't.

Retail is about $39.99 a book but I've probably got an average price on picking them up of about $23 a book.
