"I might kill myself, if someone made that on me"
Was not expecting that. Lol
Dragon Thai lol that said a lot about his character 😂
yeah lmao
That was a ridiculous statement 🤣
why killing yoursef. he did it for himself .not on the other player
😂 😂 😂 That was amazing!!
I bet that man hasn't bought a beer at the bar in years
His gut says otherwise
Right. Those are metal balls and Bugs Bunny has a magnet under the table. That made him 14 carrots
No harm in a beer belly when your doing well.
@@joski9030 his liver might disagree. Not judging, I drink, just saying. I ruined the joke didn't I? What little of a joke there was to begin with. Yep, I'll get my coat
Because it takes a high functioning brain to make shots like that ;)
It is a tradition to come back to this video every once a while.
Here we are again. I don't know how many times I've watched this frame but that last shot still brought tears to my eyes.
Imagine if he missed the 8 ball shot
Imagine if we scartched his cue ball after pocketing the 8 ball.
Lol only a miss cue would have caused a miss by a pro from this distance
That's how I play pool, make some great shots but then fumble on an easy shot when it actually matters
@@jaaki94
May be your thought process is different which destroys your focus.
Treat every shot the same with the same pre shot routine. You make shots that nobody expect, cuz you are focused with out any expectation. Try to feel the shot before .
Wow nice shot
I came in expecting clickbait. I left mind blown.
George Ramirez
It's nice to see a clickbait-esque title actually deliver.
George Ramirez yep this dude is legit
George Ramirez well said

Same
This is exactly how I see each shot when I play pool. Execution let's me down
Tyson Collier , my league team always says the difference between us and the professionals is consistency. We know those shots, but making them is a totally different thing!
Undertaker67203
You have to have an all round game,so nothing can stop your mental flow.
Like he say's he spotted this option 2 shots back,he has already started the process of the finished article.
In other words he has already started preparing mentally for the shot, good players are constantly doing this, and not just at big decision shots.
In a way you are willing things to go your way,you are what you think!
Your skill does the rest.
Tyson Collier 😂 same
Too Freaking Funny!!! Great Quote!!!
🙈
In my experience, the first shot is by far the hardest to achieve in first attempt. the masse shot would be the 2nd and the "easiest" to make is the 4 cushion shot. What makes this runout unbelievable is that he executed those shots in the same rack in a tournament. That was such a show of perfect technic and iron nerves.
Yeah I'd have to agree. For me though the massé is the easiest then the 4rail. I think the first one he had planned the Carom and the cue ball coming back was a lil extra chance. He's an amazing player, at snooker too. I think he's retired from tournaments now though, and just plays cash games(I assume).
Yes, perfect "technic" indeed.
LOL you guys make me laugh...the 4 cushion shot in the hardest one here considering all the obstacles in the way...he had to be perfect. If there were no balls in the way then it isnt the hardest.
@@simonm3951 yep agreed. The last shot is by far the hardest shot. The first shot is actually the easiest
It’s the fact he see the 4 rail shot so early
I’ve watched this more times than I care to admit. Utter brilliance.
When Johnny Archer says that's the "best shot he's ever seen", you don't need any further certification. Sick clearance by Melling.
Ashim Upadhyaya
Ashim Upadhyaya Agreed!
Ashim Upadhyaya good point 😂
2 min 15 sec clearance... Eat that o'sullivan... ☺️
Gilberto Francisco Haha I know I used a snooker terminology, being much aligned to snooker myself. I think it'll be a run out in 8 ball.

Johnny Archer saying “that might be the the best shot I’ve ever seen in my life” wow. Awesome 👏
It wasn't a hard shot at all. It was a dead on 4 rail shot and he knew no balls were in the way. I've seen much better shots.
@@da324another trash YT commenter coming in with a trash take. You are probably an APA 4
@@da324😒 I’ve seen better shots as well. Although with the other two shots beforehand, as a whole, this is one hell of a run out. This is for the finals as well, or deep in the tournament, so pressure as well being a factor. Never could understand why people downplay professionals, awesome shots, or nitpick all pool videos in general.
@330devans I wasn't downplaying or nitpicking the video. It just isn't a shot that stands out. The runout you mentioned was more impressive...to me.
@@da324"I've seen much better shots" means nothing. To set himself up for a chance at the shot, not only knowing the shot was possible despite the many balls on the table, is what elevates this shot. You have probably never played a cue sport in your life, or if you have, you don't understand the level of talent, dedication, knowledge, and composure required to be only 5% of what Chris Melling did here.
I’ve never seen a curve shoot like that before and the last one was absolutely amazing. Legend

That’s Johnny Archer, the king of pool in the 90s
His face at the end is like a little kid’s it’s so awesome to see that smile 😊
Also the fact he know exactly what he wants to do with the 1 ball when he lines his cue up to the 7 before the last 4 shots is genius.

That 4-rail was disgusting. There are people online who would still miss that shot using an aim hack.
PsyintZ Un-flipping believable.
I know I will probably get plenty of stick for this but despite it visually being a great looking shot, it really wasn't that difficult.
Half of the battle is just spotting it and so Chris deserves credit for that and then leaving the cue ball lined up straight on the shot after potting the ball before. Although what enhances the visual look of the shot is the number of other balls on the table but if the pathway is clear anyway, then it's just a case of hitting it straight and hard enough to comes off of the four cushions and have the speed to reach the pocket.
If you set the same shot up but with just the cue ball and objected ball on the table and removed every other ball and played it, it will still visually look a nice trick shot but nothing like it does with all of the other balls still on the table.
@@amazed66 Set up the table as it was and recreate it then, let us know how many attempts it takes you ? I actually agree with your comment somewhat but am curious as to how many shots it would take you lol
@@scotland2256 One I would imagine lol because I now know the shot despite most likely not having spotted it myself if playing and that situation arose and because I am able to hit a ball straight and with pace.
Basically if you can hit the front ball of the pack square on when breaking then you can play this shot.

I’ve never watched pool videos in my life...but here I am. Thank you you’re algorithms. I’ve been really enjoying these!
Did i just witness greatness?
That bank combo on the 4 in itself was a great shot, then came that textbook masse to sink the 2, and when i think i've seen it all, he goes and pulls off an unbelievable 4 rail bank shot...WoW...
Commentator: That is an impossible shot!
Chris: I’d make that 99 times out of a 100
😂
I make that shot about 50%, but trying it through a crowd of balls....
Fugedaboudit.
No brag, just fact. 😎
98 times out of 100.
@@digitalbookworm5678 Yeah, if there's no traffic, the 4 rail bank seems pretty forgiving. Banking 2 rails into the opposite corner is SUPER touchy, it seems like the very slightest change of aim results in a huge difference at the other end but it's like the last two rails cancel out a lot of the variation.
I would leave the pool hall

This is unbelievable! 🎱
WTF did I just watch!?!? I thought the 1st shot was amazing, and they kept getting better!! The masse and 4-rail shots were ridiculous
The first carom timing shot was the best one, the masse was just hit decent and the 4 rail was excellent shot recognition.
Truly. Incredible. I agree.
Indeed. It's quite similar to a shot called a "cocked hat double" in snooker. Not one that's commonly played but Melling given his English background may have been aware of it for that reason.
Absolutely incredible run. I’ve never seen any sequence like it in terms of challenge and creativity.
I used to play like that all the time when I was young, by the seat of my pants, challenging myself with creativity!

The first shot was so unbelievable
I loved the way he described it at the end, he said"II could hardly reach am only 5'7 so I couldn't reach the ball..... WOW He used every bit of those diamonds to line that one up and he stepped up like he knew he was going to make it! Impressive
"...He called it where..?"
Chris Welcome yes
U dont wanna know it will hurt u
Chris Welcome yes and even think the commentator with many years of pool experience said "he cant be serious" haha
I know you won't believe this, but if you practice that shot it's not that hard. Like any other you just have to be able to see it. I have made the shot before. Not sure of my success rate, but the one I remember was on the 8.
desertodavid well all is a matter of practice but to pull it off in a major tournament is still very impressive.

Imagine making that at some bar with no cameras then you have to tell the story. First I made this crazy carrom shot then massed my second ball then finished the rack with a 4 railer. They'd be like yeah ok dude sure that happened.
Believe me, I had experienced really sick stuff, especially if some beer 🍺 was involved 😂

Ye. I seen some Crzy stuff. I myself made some Crzy shots as well. But of course they were "luck" related
I'm not a player, but in one of the first times I play it I made the white fly over my mate's balls and I put the black in the hole and won the match. I never forget it and I never repeat something like that!
And I can’t hit a straight shot to save my life
Sabesr
There's 2 things:
1) keep your elbow close to your side so that your arm is swinging straight back and forward, and not going in at an angle.
2) position your dominant eye right over the cue, so that what you see is what you get.
@@dhirajpallin2572 Also, stay down until the ball has hit the object ball. Any unnecessary movement makes a big difference
