Bosch or DeWalt 12v adapter + battery 2-5 Ah capacity + small wire with barrel plugs - and it gives stable 12v, which BMS doesn't provide. Another advantage - you don't need to modify the device.
Very cool! Have you done this already, and if so can you post a picture, and share how much time you're getting out of it? I'm not sure what you're talking about regarding the stable 12v ... I'm not noticing any problems when I use it.
Thanks! It runs for just about 4 hours. I'm not sure how long it takes to charge ... I just plug it in for a while. I'll have to get one of those in-line meters to see.
Yes - that's a great idea. You'd still have to wire it to the power connector some way or another. I think it would be a neat project to cut a space (like a side-hole) in the DT and fit a power bank into it. Post pictures if you do it!
@@andik2363 Very cool. I found my ripcord to not work with anything bigger than the Digitakt and Digitone. I'm curious if you've had any luck with the birdcord powering an Analog Rytm, A4 or OT.
Lovely work on this track Add !
Thanks very much! I appreciate it!
Fantastic! Thank you for this!
There's so much room in there!
Yeah ... I wonder what other goodies could be hidden in there
Nice project, thanks for the video. How do you charge the batteries, just plug in the power as usual?
Thanks for the feedback! Yes - just plug it in as usual
😂 5 minutes in 9,000x speed. still sick tho🤘🏼
Heh heh ... you're the first one to call me on that!
Looks cool, how long it works on 3 21700 batteries? I saw that it possible to insert 6x 21700 in to digitakt
Cheers! I'm getting 3 hours easily. I'll try running a test on it this weekend. Yes, there's definitely enough room to fit another 3x 21700 in there
That's dope!
I don't own a digitakt but good to know you can do that! I would have thought there was less room availible in it
Thanks! Yeah, it's pretty cool to be able to do a little project like this. I'm now using my Digitakt way more and it really is an amazing device
I ran a test and I'm getting just under 4 hours with these batteries. I'm pretty happy with that!
@@addendmusic Please correct me if I'm wrong, Im a noob. but. 6x3.7V=22,2V. Will BMS convert that to 12V output (to digitakt)?
How much autonomy do the 3 21700 batteries give you?
For me, I appreciate the freedom to take it where ever I want. I get at least 3.5 hours out of a charge.

So you have to open it every time you want to change the batteries?
Yes. We'll see how many years I'll get out of these batteries.
Wow, great job! How long does it take to discharge? And also charge to 100%?
Thanks! It runs for just about 4 hours. I'm not sure how long it takes to charge ... I just plug it in for a while. I'll have to get one of those in-line meters to see.
nice snd
Cool! Thanks!
Next put a sampler into an analogue rytm... please.
I'm digging my analog rytm these days, but I figured it would be my Digitakt as my portable unit
Wouldn’t it have been easier to just internally mount a rechargeable power bank instead of soldering and circuit boards and all that?

@@addendmusic Hah yeah I wish I was smart enough to do that. :)
I use Birdcord PD-12V Adapter + Powerbank for Digitakt and Syntakt.
It works perfectly.
@@andik2363 love it, thank you!

Carcarcar
No integrated usb c charging port though?
So you have to crack your digitakt open every time you want to recharge the batteries????
Yikes
Nope. That wouldn't make sense. Just have to plug in the standard power adaptor and it charges the batteries. Works just fine.
