Love seeing In Flames getting some love!
Same. Wait until she gets to Forgone 1 and 2.
Come Clarity. Was life changing.
I’m surprised nobody has suggested Take This Life yet
Please make a reaction video on that one!!! The song Take This Life is belongs to this channel. It is a must have.
Oh In Flames may be super underrated! Same with Soilwork. And all because their vocals are harsh sometimes. The lyrics they have as heartfelt and and true as the best of them
also
Wallflower
and The Chosen Pessimist
This era of In Flames was EPIC. Was a young boy then, listned to them constantly back in the day!
Same here! My fav band in 10 years..
Finally InFlames... Thank you! Evil in a Closet will be my funeral song! All of those who really knew me will have a chuckle lol
In flames has so many iconic songs you could dedicate an entire channel to their music. please do more.
My favourite In Flames lyric is 'I feel like shit, but at least I feel something'.
I actually played a gig with them over 20 years ago in Glasgow, Scotland. Lovely guys
omfg.. what an honor to do right? i did play on swedern rock festival 2019.. that was a dream come true.
Yes, In Flames! 🤘. If you like them please do My Sweet Shadow or Drenched in Fear, both lyrically powerful.
In Flames is such a unique sound because they do not always follow the standard time signatures yet they are not so all over the place like for example System of a Down. Plus the way Anders handles each verse with a different vocal technique just makes it that much more interesting. It was such a dream come true when I saw them the first time at MayhemFest and even more so when they toured with Corrosion of Conformity and Ministry!
In Flames we trust !
Wow! In Flames, what a throwback. I was at their gig in Stockholm early 2000. One of my favorite concert memories.
In Flames - Evil in a Closet
Come clarity from in flames always hits my feels from time to time
Have a listen to White Chapel. Song. When A Demon Defiles A Witch. It's based on actual events the singer went through with his mother. It's really heavy and sorrowful at the same time.
You should do more In Flames 😄🤘 They have so many amazing songs that also sound very different from each other, my suggestion for next songs with videos would probably be Come Clarity, Cloud Connected, Alias, I Am Above, The Quiet place, My Sweet Shadow, Stay With Me, The Chosen Pessimist Live version! 🥰 I could probably name a 100 more songs from them you should listen to but it's a good start😅
In flames are my stress relief they always calm me down no matter what
I have a couple of In Flames songs on my therapy playlist. Music has played a HUGE part of helping me deal with a lot of the crap life throws at us. The list is now over 8 hours and keeps on growing. Thank you for raising more awareness for mental health.
Metallica, Disturbed, Slipnot and some old rap, has saved my life. I was a drinker and quit over 5 yrs ago. My last night was trying to unalive myself. Then i had a call come in, asked why ibwas crying. Told my brother what i did. He was in way to see our mom out of surgery. Picked me up. Took my in to ER. Was in hospital for a month. Found a AA group there. Went for awhile. Covid struck. I been on my own since. Always think of wanting that drink. Because i am really not okay. I been fighting urges, while my mental health disappears. I will put my playlist on my phone to speakers, and lay there and cry or just lay there no emotion shit. I been a Metallica-ead snce i was 12. One, diers eye, king nothing, enter sandman, etc, saves my headspace. Next day or 2 and i am okay again. Please keep reacting to the awesome bands and songs. You are helping me in a big way....thank you.....sorry for the novel
Words....words hurt!!! I have said mean shit too. Not proud of it. Most of my shit is from words been said.....think before you speak!!!!
Hey what’s up man!? I totally understand the feelings.. check out the apps AANA Live and In the Rooms; full of 24 hour meetings through Zoom!! Me and my wife went to 30 day programs on our own and now we’re in a long term program together and the goal is to work in recovery. Just for Today you do not have to drink or use other substances. Keep fighting
Off my fav In Flames album ♥️. This whole album could be covered for mental health to be honest.
You are hitting on some phenomenal bands!!!! These bands have and are still saving my life. Take a this life, crawl through knives, Free fall, Stay with me…. ❤
Saw In Flames live a few months ago. They've still got it, was an incredible show. They came across as a really wholesome bunch of dudes
Björn Gelotte's guitar is so iconic. I really love the sound this band makes. Zombie inc, Gyroscope, Evil in a closet, The quiet place, Take this life, Stay with me... Geez they have soooo many good songs. The list goes on and on :)
These guys are so fun to see live...... one of my favorite bands
There's so many good in flames songs
I finished my first emdr session today. I think it's going to help.
Great song :-) In flames has a damn lot great songs.
One of my favorite In Flames songs \m/
i am above would be a good one to unpack as well
That'd be legendary
IN FLAMES are the GOATS! The Quiet Place and Cloud Connected please!!
In Flames!!! Love me some melodic Swedish death core
I love in Flames they’re my favoured band. Stay With Me is one of their most emotional songs
Incredible song. It’s one of the songs that kept me alive. Dark Tranquillity - Lost to Apathy is another. Definitely worth a listen
Just saw them last weekend ! they are so amazing ! ...talking about amazing, taylor, you are one inspiring kind human ! thanks for your analysis ! ... bonus you are gorgeous too !
The best metalband i sweden🤘
I recomend you to listen tho The whole Clayman album 💪🤘👌
Alias, Cloud Connected, Like You Better Dead, Crawl Through Knives, Swim, Pinball Map, Delight and Anger are my personal favorites
Alias for sure.
As far as this song, the meaning is: the weak do not deserve sympathy, and weak as I am, I do not deserve sympathy.
If you enjoy this song purely for the analytical value, you have no idea how deep and direct they can be about pain, sacrifice, love and rejection they get!!
Super great reaction! Nearly did a flip when I saw you had some In Flames!
But really, you could do a two hour atream on the meanings and feelings of any of their albums alone! Keep it up!!!!! We love this stuff!
Oh my god, In Flames got me through Middle and High School it was the first Metal band that really made me feel I'm not alone in my feelings at the time. Evil in a Closet, The Quiet Place, Only For The Weak, My Sweet Shadow, Borders and Shading, and especially Take This Life. Please listen to more! I would love to hear your perspective
Greatest melodic metal band to ever exist. Their older lyrics are so deep. Thanks for reacting to them.
You would 100% love My Sweet Shadow from them.
YASSSSS!!!!! I love when I see someone starting their In Flames journey! Super sick band!!
The Quiet Place and My Sweet Shaddow would be two other great songs for you to react to as a therapist
Edit: also Come Clarity. Probably should actually do that one next lol
Awesome! it's rare to see people reacting to dear old In Flames these days! And your insights are as usual so on point. Other songs by them that may be interesting to analyze are Clayman, Metaphor or Pinball Map.
Thank you so much for this reaction! After reacting to Take this life song from In Flames, please check Dark Tranquillity: Misery´s Crown video as well.
Damn Girl! Thank you for this reaction! I loved this song since the album was relased but only realised right now what the text means! Interesting, that it really describes what I feel and felt so long without knowing my problem! I am right now in really good hands by my counselor and I am fine but music also is my therapy! And you are helping me with your interpretation and showing the world that metal is not all about killing, death and gore! ;) really thankful greetings from Germany! 🤘
IN FLAMES WE TRUST!
Gotta give a listen to take this life!!!
This band brought me out of an extremely dark place. I should have died twice and yet I’m here to talk about it.
Clayman was an absolutely formational album as a 17-year-old. “Pinball Map” is a fantastic meditation on anxiety-driven executive dysfunction, even if 23 years later I still want to know what an electric splash on a midnight drive is.
Much respect for what you’re doing! Enjoy how you dig into metal music on a psychological level to push mental health issues and how it can have positive therapeutic effects to listeners dealing with mental health issues. I’m 50 and still love the metal genre and can honestly say that it’s helped me get through so many struggles throughout my life. I know you get hundreds of requests but I’d love for you to dig into Bleed The Freak by Alice In Chains. This song only recently grabbed me by the throat but in a therapeutic sense for me to vent some emotions built up from past personal experiences so I’d really like to get your perspective on it. Thanks
Needed this vid. Thanks
Thx a lot for in flames reaction.
I used to listen to this when I was 13 and my parents grandma uncle aunt and cousin were with me on family cruise vacations. I used to love food for the gods, dead eternity, and ordinary story too.
You should check out Stay With Me and Where the Dead Ships Dwell. Amazing songs.
I love In Flames!!!!
This song and take this life were the two main in flames songs that saved my life as a teenager. I went through so much trauma and abuse as a child, and bands like In Flames really stood out to me as something to hang onto. There are so many lyrics in the song Take This Life that felt so personal as if they were written about my life.
I don't know if you'll see this, but thank you. In one of your videos you talked about facing your pain is how you heal. I was already working on getting into a residential PTSD program, but it made me realize that there are still problems I have that I've avoided that impede my ability to thrive (my default is that people hate me). So me and my current therapist are addressing it starting next week.
I've been in and out of therapy for 20 years and it sucks that I still have things to address, but better now than never.
IN FLAMES WE TRUST
Hell yeah that's my jam! Another one I'd love to see you do is sun doesn't rise by mushroomhead 🤘
I second this or embrace the ending
Me: I've lost the ability to paint the clouds and I'm stuck in this slow-motion dark day.
My therapist: @7:30
you should check out Dark Tranquility's Misery's Crown
absolutely goated song🔥🔥🔥
The song Hope Leaves by Opeth. A seriously beautiful song that you will not regret listening to.
Citizen soldier: if anyone cared is kne if the best songs ever made. When im at my lowest, which is often, this is the song that keeps me here. I think youd live it.
Even though im an old school IF fan it would be nice if you check the song "Where Dead Ships Dwell". One of my favorite lyrics from them and highly personal
Do more In Flames- take this life👌
In Flames getting love!! Same time I was introduced to Metallica, another friend introduced me to In Flames!! Clayman is their best album!! You ever get a chance to talk to Anders (lead signer), he's incredibly hilarious!!
Come Clarity song or any song from the Come Clarity or Sense of Purpose album
In Flames - Crawl Through Knives!
was literally just humming this exact song as i came across this upload
YES!!!
In Flames
@HeartSupport I saw these guys live for the first time when they were on Gigantour with Megadeth and Children Of Bodom in 2008. My jaw was practically on the floor the entire time they were on that stage. Their music is so melodic and catchy and they had an amazing stage show on top of that. 16 years and 5 concerts, later and these guys are without a doubt one of my favorite bands of all time. They are one of those bands that can change their sound with every album. One of my favorites is the album Sound of a Playground Fading. Specifically the song "Fear is the Weakness." This song helped me through a lot.
At the time this specific album came out, my older brother, who was only 19 at the time, was in and out of ICU battling severe leukemia. Chemo, blood transfers, everything under the sun. After some time fighting, he was finally cured through a bone marrow transplant provided by me. Just several months later, he relapsed and had to go back. This time with unfortunate results. This caused a lot of stress and practically fractured our family. My other older brother and sister moved away. My mom and dad split up practically leaving me and my younger brother almost homeless with my mother so we moved into my Dad's parent's house. My grandparents did everything they could for us three. Then almost a year to the day that my brother passed, my grandfather passed. As much as that total of MAYBE 2 years was the darkest time of my life. The family IS all back together and all living somewhat near one another. Mom and Dad are back together and we see the rest of the family on the holidays. But during the dark times, mainly listening to In Flames, Slipknot, Lamb of God, Alice in Chains, and Avenged Sevenfold, is what got me through.
So with that being said I had just a few suggestion for some songs that mean a lot to me.
In Flames - Fear Is The Weakness, Ropes, or Come Clarity
Alice in Chains - Down in A Hold, Nutshell, Heaven Beside You
Lamb Of God - Walk With Me in Hell, King Me, Blacken the Cursed Sun
Avenged Sevenfold - I Won't See You Tonight Pts. 1&2 (These songs were written about suicide. Pt.1 is from the POV of the struggling individual and Pt.2 is from the POV of everyone else.)
my favourite is The Quiet Place ^^
Damn, The Quiet Place - lots of memories attached to this one for me! Has a special flavor when you listen to it at night. Might give it a listen again
@@Micro-Heartsupport I can play it on guitar ^^
@@Micro-Heartsupport I can play it ^^ for info th-cam.com/users/EmotionalTrym ( my old account from 2009 )
Flaw - Whole
My dude 🫂
Good to know that folks still remember Flaw.
Forgone Pt.2 might be good for a therapist
Signed up! I can put my peer support certs to use! one last thing, please review "Imminence" talk about beauty and a breakdown.
Their song Take This Life is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
0:45 being a good listener always helps in my opinion and being openminded
In Flames ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
to add to that here are some suggestions, Cloud Connected, Come Clarity, I am above, Trigger, My Sweet Shadow (very good), Where the dead ships dwell, The quiet place (great), Paralyzed, Clayman, Satellites and Astronauts (iconic), touch of red (iconic) to name a few
Also there are a few songs from other music that I would love to hear your reaction to - Amigo The Devil: First Day of the End of My Life, TRAITRS: The Lovely Wounded and Empathy Test: Bare My Soul.
A good possibility for a song breakdown is "Light The Torch" by Soilwork. Not only a fun video, but a poignant theme of dealing with assault.
Inflames Reroute to Remain great song great album.
You should analyze In Flames - Free Fall
Take this Life by In Flames is probably the song you must check out..One of the best..
I love In Flames! You should check out their song Ordinary Story or Behind Space.
YAY In flames. Check out their songs called my sweet shadow, in search for I and the quiet place. More in flames!! More I say.
If you could do the Sense of Purpose album or even just Sober and Irrelevant or Delight and Angers. Either way I love what you and it’s helping me get through some things right now. 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
In Flames ❤️
on the note of Swedish bands, Meshuggah's song "Perpetual Black Second" off of Nothing (Yellow version) has some fantastic themes of dealing with anger and rage, losing control of yourself as a result, and regret of a past action, and it resurfacing in a cycle every time its thought about
Hell yeah!!! Also check out Iron Maiden!!
I know it’s newer in flames, but I really think you will enjoy “when the world explodes”
Omg please do more in flames ooooEeee
More In Flames please....
you need to react to DEAD ETERNITY by In Flames. Oh man what that be amazing!
Try zombie inc by In Flames. It addresses the issues of modern society and has a very beautiful solo
I'v had some difficult times since when I was 11. I mainly tried to focus on sports and metal music. Curently I've added some beer drinking. The combo seems to; keep me on track, keep me spiralling towards something. Spiralling not specifically towards darkness.. Perhaps towards my true self. Not sure. Some things I used to keep important seem to have lost their lure while others seem more ... tenable perhaps. Not giving up on the sports or the metal. Perhaps should add some liquer to the mix.
Love in flames!! Can I propose a reaction to Parkway Drive - wishing wells? Not lyrically crazy, just emotion.
question: I am from scotland and i want to help people, so does can anybody no matter where they are from can volunteer?
Absolutely! Volunteer activities are taking place online, so wherever you come from, you're welcome! I am myself located in Belgium and we have people in our teams of volunteers , including team leaders, who are from very different locations (US,UK,EU,Australia, Canada, etc...).
-Marie-Anne, HS Staff
@@Micro-Heartsupport thats awesome. does it also include autistic people? I imagine that your diverse and when I was looking for work I've literaly been told that they're not comfortable with an autistic person looking after another autistic person. and i want to prove to myself that I can manage despite my trait as an autistic person
Try also In Flames - System or Our Infinite Struggle
Do trigger next, the lyrics are amazing
I'd love to see her react to Unstoppable by For The Fallen Dreams. Incredible song of perseverance
mental health... do reason to belive with Arch Enemy :) that one has helpt me and i guess many moore
5:40 what you explain there is how my ex made me feel and since 2013 or 2014 I have been feeling kinda numb or trapped mentally
