NotOrdinaryInGames Not if there is a bunch of people who compose it directly for him and he only signs his name on the folder. The pirates of the Carribean were composed by Klaus Badelt and almost everything that came next used the same patterns. Hans Zimmer's only great work was Gladiator, but he somehow failed to live up to expectations, that came afterwards.
As a musician myself, I always love to see these big pieces... Battle of the Heroes sends chills down my spine as, even without watching the movie, you know it's expressing the tragedy of the great anakin skywalker
revenge of the sith, incredible film and the music was indescribably amazing with the movie. when yoda and sidius started to fight on the senate as the chancellor seat rose up, wow
I never appreciated John's work this way before watching this. He truly was a brilliant musical genius. There's no doubt about that. Star Wars wouldn't be Star Wars without him.
scottbignell I have one. As the guy above said it came with the soundtrack. im sure it's on TH-cam now but look up star wars: a musical journey and find out. It's really good.
No, you don’t understand-as a violist, seeing that footage of the rehearsal of “Battle of the Heroes” is incredibly validating and exciting. In most pieces of music, violas are given supporting parts. It’s rare to have the melody and it’s even rarer to be the ones who start a song. Furthermore, cellos are used more often than the violas to showcase the power of the lower strings. It’s safe to assume that if what you’re hearing is obviously too low to be a violin, but still higher than the bass, it’s most likely a cello. Up until now I carried that assumption whenever I listened to “Battle of the Heroes,” because that’s just what I learned to expect from all my years as a violist. But now I have proof positive that in one of my favorite Star Wars songs, MY section leads the pack!!! :D
AdjutantReflex Totally felt the same! And after everything else that went wrong with episode 7 is just added to the pile of failures. We need a good movie like rogue 1
True. Everyone is saying Rogue One is tons better than TFA, and i guess thats because they actually took risks with it. All i can say is, EpVIII better not be Empire 2.0.
Ian-Luke Production Well according to JW he wasn’t allowed to work with the whole movie and only got it in 2-8 minute chunks. That’s why the movie’s soundtrack suffered so much.
breakfestbacon Christopher Lee was good, but even he couldn't save clones. Natalie was cold thanks to bad dialogue writing and directing, same with ewan. Who's Tem?
Kevin Johnsson He was probably shot especially for this, and then his head was tracked on top of Sebastian Shaw's (I imagine they had a clean plate too. The Lucasfilm archives have all sorts of treasures).
Obi wan and Anakin are fighting while the music is going , " I told you Ani.. I told you to just wait ....." " I AM THE MOST POWERFU JEDI EVER ??? I DON'T WAIT " music stops " The music stopped Ani... The orchestra went to lunch " " K cease the fight for now., I brought Hardees " " Yes !!!! "
Yo dude... don't even make that correlation... It would make to much sense. Also, the thought of Star Wars' plot becoming somewhat of a reality is just way to freaky, bro.
NOPE The prequels were never in danger of being horrible. The prequels are unbelievably awesome, just like the OT. People like you are why we got the sequels, which went on to destroy the entire saga. Thanks a lot.
Without doubt, the best composer in Hollywood. Musical genius
iMaxAL No he isn't. Best for Star Wars? Yes. Best? You cannot pick one, that's stoopid.
NotOrdinaryInGames definitely better than Hans-grand-score-thief-Zimmer. For over-all work I thing John Williams is on par with Howard Shore...
Jan Viktor Havel All artists borrow ideas form other sources.

Jan Viktor Havel Okay, I just realized I confused him with James Horner.

How amazing would it be to be present at the Star Wars recoring sessions?
I would cry. I cry just watching the recording sessions.
Quite simply, John Williams breathed life into Star Wars. Without his wonderful music, I doubt the movies would be the same. Genius
Battle of the Heros bring back sad memorys :(
I know, I almost cries. Especially after watching the Clone Wars show.
Probably some of, if not THE, best music of all time. Not just one of the best movie soundtracks, which I think it definitely is.
revenge of the sith, incredible film and the music was indescribably amazing with the movie. when yoda and sidius started to fight on the senate as the chancellor seat rose up, wow
JOHN WILLIAMS IS THE MAN
I never appreciated John's work this way before watching this. He truly was a brilliant musical genius. There's no doubt about that.
Star Wars wouldn't be Star Wars without him.
He's still alive man
the man behind all these... Simply fantastic
I've been listening to this for like 5 years straight.
Endlessly compelling indeed.
Absolute brilliance
7:44 It’s over Anakin! I have the high ground”.
Episode 3 had the absolute best music
I get chills when i listen to most of these pieces.
I got the shivers from the music!!PURE AWESOMENESS!
The force is strong w master John Williams......can't wait to hear his music on Episode 7.
I don't think Disney hired him
really? new interview with John??
***** OK, Tnx.
GOOD NEWS - John Williams will be receiving the 2016 AFI life achievement award in June. Well deserved!
And he made bad music there. I think he did it on purpose because they canned lucas
Awesome Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith Video.
Goosebumps at the Battle of the Heroes.
Absolutely incredible
The song that John Williams composing is the Tragic Battle between Obi Wan and Anakin 4:54
John Williams is a genius
He has done the score for every great film of my life…completely in a league of his own
his best overrall score for Starwars has to be Revenge of the Sith
Fact
Gotta love those powerful Horns
“Come on R2, we’re going.”
Simply amazing
oh my god this music is really awesome 🎧🎤🎵🎶🎼🎷🎹🎺🎤🎤🎵🎶
13 years ago today did they make the music!
Was the 70min Silent Movie DVD thing they talked about ever released? I want to get my hands on a copy...
scottbignell I have one. As the guy above said it came with the soundtrack. im sure it's on TH-cam now but look up star wars: a musical journey and find out. It's really good.

Yeah these came on the bonus dvd.
You knocked it out the planet John!!!
Wish I could've been in the room
John williams is awsome! :)
FUCKING BEAUTIFUL I GET GOOSEBUMPS EVERYTIME
The music in these films makes me believe that in 300 years they will be studied like Shakespeare
"this is where the movie gets its heart"
They are probably recording Ep7 right now.
so is howard shore (composer for films such as LORD OF THE RINGS)
Thanks for helping me
4:05 cannot wait for ep8's soundtrack!
Episode 7's wasn't too amazing so lets hope 8 makes up for it.
AdjutantReflex Totally felt the same! And after everything else that went wrong with episode 7 is just added to the pile of failures. We need a good movie like rogue 1

I thought it was great
Ian-Luke Production
Well according to JW he wasn’t allowed to work with the whole movie and only got it in 2-8 minute chunks. That’s why the movie’s soundtrack suffered so much.
great man yes; but also unlimited money can only do that think about that for a moment ; good jab

You're creepin me out, man. :P
Aplauses!
Thankyou thankyou
@FetteNajdal The Battle of Endor (Part 2) or "The Final Duel"
Any word on whether John Williams will be scoring the new movies?
Fun Fact: Fox initially wanted A New Hope to have a Disco sound track, but Lucas refused
anyone know where to find the music video? or what its called?
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THE MUSIC AT THE BEGINNING IS CALLED?
Princess Leia's Theme
Have you found out the music yet? :L Im looking for it too
John Williams and Ian McDiarmid Saved the prequels
And Ewan, Natalie, Tem, and Christopher lee
breakfestbacon Christopher Lee was good, but even he couldn't save clones. Natalie was cold thanks to bad dialogue writing and directing, same with ewan. Who's Tem?
SlayTheRake Tem is jango.
ah
I kinda don't like him, not his fault, but I wish they didn't paste his voice over boba in the original trilogy
+SlayTheRake Ewan was great, what are you talking about.
How was Hayden added to the end of Episode 6?
Kevin Johnsson He was probably shot especially for this, and then his head was tracked on top of Sebastian Shaw's (I imagine they had a clean plate too. The Lucasfilm archives have all sorts of treasures).
imma 911 comment, im gonna go on a plane now
clone scene was cut out
The music starting at 4:57 reminds me of the soundtracks from the Elder Scrolls series. Bethesda needs to get him on board for the next game.
Yourname942 Jeremy Soule is good enough IMO.
what is the soundtrack called at 2:15 ?
are these from the special edition ?
@fluxa123 John Williams & James Newton Howard are the best!
Does anyone know the name of the song that plays from 0:00-0:18
jediindyfan98 Leia's Theme
Better have this for Episode 7!
Disney just bought Lucas Films and Episode 7 is coming in 2015
Boy were you, and all of us who thought like you, wrong.
Disney paid absolutely no tribute to the prequels.
@@MrZackavelli or to the originals either, it shat on them
6:56 wait... that wasn’t in the movie
Obi wan and Anakin are fighting while the music is going , " I told you Ani.. I told you to just wait ....."
" I AM THE MOST POWERFU JEDI EVER ??? I DON'T WAIT " music stops
" The music stopped Ani... The orchestra went to lunch "
" K cease the fight for now., I brought Hardees "
" Yes !!!! "
Yo dude... don't even make that correlation... It would make to much sense. Also, the thought of Star Wars' plot becoming somewhat of a reality is just way to freaky, bro.
that was better than watching the actual movie!
This man saved the prequels from being completely horrible. Duel of Fates is one of the greatest pieces of music ever.
Things I love about the prequels. There's not much actually
The musical score (perfect)
The clones and Jango Fett
Obi Wan
The visuals
Crappy Nappy Palpstine was really good too.
*Palpatine
Battle of the Heroes > Duel of the gays >:v
NOPE
The prequels were never in danger of being horrible.
The prequels are unbelievably awesome, just like the OT.
People like you are why we got the sequels, which went on to destroy the entire saga.
Thanks a lot.
He wants to do them and JJ wants him to do them.
So theres that :)
Nope.
this guys good but Claude Debussy is the greatest of all time
I prefer Ennio Morricone over John
