I like how these cars are so inexpensive, making them a great car to learn modifications. Not only that, they can be perfect sleeper cars if you put in the work, time, and money, just like the ones in this vid

@@PIBRACINGCHANNELyou ever thought about doing a Quad-Turbo setup like adding 4 turbochargers to the engine or do you think it wouldn’t be able to handle it?
@@joeythekid5042 I mean this in the nicest way possible, most engines are not built to handle such high pressure of even 2 turbos. Only cars built with strong, purpose-built engines can survive that power and those are easily 40k$ worth of just parts to make that happen. So no a tibby would never survive 4 turbos, but I like your love of stutututu stay safe brother! 😂
Looks amazing! I have a tiburon like this same colour, looks like a hunk of junk compared, can only dream and wait till I can do this type of build! You guys are an inspiration

I remember when this meet happened in Kissimmee, but I think I had to work that weekend. It sucks that I missed it, my tib would have been there too. I went to the meet that was the weekend before this, I had the red and black FL2. I have been highly considering getting a turbo on my 2.0, your tib sounds great with the turbo in

Set up your budget and how far do you want to go with the project and then start buying parts. The most important thing to buy is the computer. We have a Fueltech 450 and without that it won’t get to where we are.
Hey guys I’m in love with tiburon and love what you guys have done it has inspired me to start building my tib I’m just wondering if you have the v6 or straight 4 and if you have the v6 how did you fit the turbo
Glad you like it. Our is 4cil. In the v6 you can relocate the battery and put it there or you can put it under the battery tray.

Would it be easier to sqeeze power out of a high revving 4 banger than to buy the v6? I like many aspects of the 6 cylinder gt but it seems a bunch of people choose the I4 instead... :edit: I meant to include the part where I say is it easier to turbo the I4 than to buy a gt?
Hey, thanks for the support.
The thing with the v6 is that if you want to het more power you have to make it stronger internally and for that engine it is super expensive. Plus that 4 cylinder have 140hp and the v6 170, only 30 ho more but with more weight and less RPM to. So the 4 cylinder is easier, cheeper,lighter, have more room for activities under the hood and more serviceable than the v6 so it is easier to remove it ect. Ti many things makes the 4 cylinder the best choice.

We have a video fabricating it. You will have to have a welder to build it.
How did you get it tuned
It is a stand alone computer.

Everything online in different sites. Ebay, Amazon, summits racing, ect. The one that has the best price at the moment.
Where'd you find the turbo/buy it from?

@@biqzo329 With no cam and no head porting and bigger valves probably around 200-250 max if done properly, have seen 1.6 from bmw and other cars that have less power from stock then hyundai making it so should be around that power. If u can fabricate yourselft then do it, if not its not worth it with 1.6. But most shops won't work on 1.6 i assume, or tune it for 10psi and will make under 200whp
I got a 2000 2.0l 4 cylinder. I really wanna turbo it and turn it into a race car but I’m still learning this mechanic stuff. I can rebuild engine and what not so not too worried if I can or can’t just don’t know what I need. I wanna add around 300-400hp what all do I need to do so? I can get a turbo kit that comes with almost everything I need to turbo it. Then I was gonna get bigger fuel injectors and throttle body better exhaust system. Would that be enough or would I need to upgrade transmission too to be able to handle the power better or something? I’m not too sure after that what’s needed. I just want a badass car lol I got the time and money for it just need a little knowledge.
Hi and thanks for your support. Yes when it comes to turbo the car is not just a turbo kit and bigger injectors. You will have to update the entire fuel system including fuel (255 wallbro) 1:1 fuel pressure regulator, and the most important thing of all if the stand alone computer and I recommend you Fueltech 450. The engine can stand up to 400hp but if you want to be reliable you will have to forged the engine for 400hp for 300 to 350 you can run the stock internals but I recommend to refresh it, gap the piston rings to 15 and 18mm and put arp studs on the rods (4g63 ). And you will have to upgrade the clutch also. You will find most of this stuff in my videos.

There's a Hyundai sonata cab that offers a stronger transmission then the ones in the states that will handle well over 400hp I plan in building mine but alot of shit has to be custom
Put supercharger on me 2.0 stupid acceleration under 3.500 rpm
The problem with that is the transmission. Any car with over 400hp and getting it under 4,000rpm is going to brake your 3rd gear. We redline this one at 8,000rpm and we have 4,000rpm to pull and be safe to the transmission. This transmission don’t hold that abuse.
