U receive spirit damage everytime u get hit and take damage. The wood class just mitigates it. Takong spirit damage is Basically like receiving a certain amount of damage to to your stamina from getting hit. It's not just from the critical hits, like u said it was
I finished this amazing game and I loved water, teleporting, increased speed, projectiles, deflections and invisibility, I enjoyed fire as well, that's more of your DMC type of class, melee combat, at the end I leveled them all of them up to 20 and water around 40, great game, I still have to play secondary missions and the DLC.
I beat it with a mainly water and metal build. Water is really fun, but with the metal skill that buffs elemental buildup, you destroy bosses. Really fun to stun them over and over.
The fire virtue increases the spirit u receive from dealing damage (or hust landing attacks on enemies in general, even if they are blocking). All of the classes increase th damage u do, it just depends on the scaling level of your weapon. For example, if your weapon scales A with fire, then yes, u will do more damage with more skill points put into fire.
Yes damage is based on scaling. Having a weapon with water scaling will mean you want to level water to raise that items damage. Fire on the other hand is the "damage" element. It is based around dealing the highest damage possible and rewarding you with more spirit to in tern deal more damage. Originally when the demo came out there was also a stat sheet that stated the fire element got 10% more of a damage increase overall. I can't seem to find that anymore.
No you don't' waste anything to try stuff out. But you still don't want to be throwing points all over the place without thinking about what weapons and spells you are using.
I haven't grinded in a while since destiny 2, took me about 7 hours grinding genuine in part 4 with the crocodile exploit to reach level 150.. from 145 to 150 its a pain, literally like 600k each!
If it’s anything like their last game, you get a ton of value by applying multiple elements at a time. Don’t have my hands on the game yet, but my best bet would be to hyper focus 2 skill trees that synergize well together and dip into others as needed.
Im guessing that there are caps to where values become alot less at a certain point and so coninuing to invest in that elememt becomes less effective. So maybe investing in another at that point would be more effective.
This is the way. Especially considering how each of the elements have an elemental weakness and counter. This can make boss encounters much easier as you learn to identify the element the enemy uses. Personally, I wanted a caster build so I went with mostly metal and water. Water covers my Metal's weakness (Fire) and I have 10 pts in Wood for HP and to cover my Water's weakness (Earth).
Ran frost lightning build with metal off hand using nighthawk armour set, heavens wrath and that icicle drop use bilnk to dodge towards for back attack =) works wonders set 45 wood 45 metal 45 water, frost buff for weapon alternate with lightning depending on the battle
Good thing is you can re spec for free whenever. I have a quality build with like 10 in each except blue. It’s nice to see what styles of spells and moves I enjoy and can focus on later. Right now the cudgel quarter staff is destroying everything with the debuffs from metal and amplify damage from fire.
@@SheenShots I've got stone attack power and stone damage in all pieces of gear and the 2 weapons I use are strongly earth aligned. I just like using sandsink to suck all the enemies in and smash them with imposing slab.
I think yes the stats do affect element attack. I remember someone boosting water really high and destroying with spells. However your general damage goes up no matter what class you put points into. So spreading into several classes for specific spells can still work.
If you enjoy messing around with equipment to create a unique build then I would say yes. The combat is very aggressive and the story is almost entirely background. So you are really getting into it for some fast paced combat that uses some fun spells and spirit attacks.
Of course it makes the game less enjoyable since they really isn’t a lot of variety. So my first run im gonna go full melee boy with only the element imbue skill and of course make a good build on the armour and weapons, but besides that. Nothing else, then for the DLC, I’ll play like an all rounder.
Bro needs to actually test these spells cause some of them be useless! Especially the earth ones that are stationary, all the enemies have to do is walk around! Which they will!

Fire & Water is what I'm feeling. Just a standard Sekiro build. Charge in, use combat, deflect, get that major damage buff from crit
If you do that would ur water put out the fire
Fire is helping to deplete your enemy's spirit gauge by using spirit attacks.

You can just level up all of them. If you have the patience to do so. I don't know if you can still level up your virtues at max level 150.
I beat the game with 40 in water. And poison and fire in 20. Crazy to think you can go all the way to 150. I mean you have NG+ but wow.
Earth Penetrating Stab is my favorite spell by far.
😅😅 lmfao
I'm thinking about fire, metal and a little bit of wood
Got a mix of everything on my player not just one color
U def shouldn't do this

Got more fire than anything
Wood-water. HP plus deflecting plus sneaking damage. Fire is overrated cause of the will damage which is independend from normal damage.
I have just this build. And it’s awesome
Overrated or op
Spirit damage > normal damage though
I'm having great success with Earth and Wood.
Wood is nuts. Earth on the other hand I don't quite have figured out yet, but I did like the extra defense.

You get a like automatically bc of the meme at the opening seconds
A lot of people have grown to love that lol. At this point it is a staple of the channel.

I would say so. There aren't any survival aspects like Outward but there is co-op that's persistent throughout the game after you beat the first boss

No

Was thinking earth and fire
Literally was thinking the same
Earth is amazing for defense, and fire is S tier for damage. Did a similar style that shredded everything.
Thinking I might go wood and water
I am going to put a lot of points into water on my next character and see how that goes. The higher tier spells there look really strong.
I was able to defeat Lu Bu in just 2 attempts after changing my build to Water and wood
I’m working on a poison build
Poison is very fun. There is something about throwing stuff all over the ground that feels very satisfying.
So if i did fire and water would my water put out the fire?
No, but your water skills will put you out if you happen to be on fire!
No they will work together I believe.

Fire seems to have the most useful attack spells. Water and earth have really good ones, but only like one or 2. The others are very mediocre at best.
