The 5 Books summarized below📚: How The Mighty Fall By Jim Collins After Steve By Tripp Mickle How to Invest By David M Rubenstein Atlas Shrugged By Ayan Rand Onassis By Franck Brady All the best in 2023⭐
1. **"How the Mighty Fall"** by Jim Collins 2. **"After Steve: Jobs And Goliath"** by Kara Swisher 3. **"How to Lead: Wisdom from the World's Greatest CEOs, Founders, and Game Changers"** by David Rubenstein 4. **"Atlas Shrugged"** by Ayn Rand 5. **"The Onassis Letters: Extraordinary and Unpublished Correspondence"** by Artemis Cooper and Martin Amis These books cover various topics from leadership, business, philosophy, and biographical accounts, providing insights and knowledge that can be valuable for personal and professional growth.
I read Atlas Shrugged 15 years ago and it fully weaponized my mind to be an un-yielding, unforgiving fierce debater, competitor and to never let someone steal my greatness from me unearned. I learned so much about the Psychology of the winners and losers. The story within the story of The 20th Century Motor Company is such a great warning of all of the pitfalls and demoralization to what happens when you implement "to each according to their ability to each according to their need". The chapter The Concerto of Deliverance provides such "just" vengeance/retribution/justice. The Trial of Hank Rearden was "The Sovereign Movement" before The Sovereign Movement. The John Galt Speech on the audiobook is the biggest "F-U" Lecture breaking apart The "Looter" psychology down to it's atom. It's such an ass-reaming that even I, who enjoys witnessing the Alec Baldwin scene in Glengarry Glen Ross threw the towel in and said "alright John Galt, enough, you've beat this horse not only to death, but you also ran it over with a steamroller, and then dropped an anvil on it and after that nuked it." It's a 3.5 hour long cuss-out of the Looters and "The Culture of Death". It could've been said with 1 hour - but I like that it was so thorough even though by hour 2 of the speech i felt the point was made, but i'm glad for the grandstanding because they deserved every syllable of the ream they got. As you read the book, you'll marvel how Ayn Rand knew more about Men than Men knew about Men. She understood our psychology inside and out - not just of one kind of man, but she outlines 6 different types of men and gives you complete insight into how and why their minds worked and their motives. If anyone tells you Atlas Shrugged was a bad book, ask them to name a single character in it. When they can't even name John Galt, say to them, "you didn't read it .... because if you did, you would not only know the main character's name, but you'd probably know every single one of these characters names because these characters will live with you as part of your life forever after, even the ones on the periphery because they were all fully explained and all represented someone you encountered in your own life who either tried to extort you or build you. If you do the audiobook .... the audiobook is 60 hours long. If you go through the entire audiobook, i GUARANTEE you will be a significantly different person coming out of it as you were going into it. You will feel like you got the "They Live" sunglasses and able to see through who The Looters and Producers are. You'll discover if you've been Dagny enabling loser looters to take advantage of you --- they "expect" you to fix the problems THEY created. The mutual respect and admiration but also competition Dagny and Hank had when agreeing to build The John Galt line and they admit to each other "i'm going to try and charge you as much as i can for my metal" "and i'm going to try and low-ball your prices as far as i can." It changed my life for the better. I lost a lot of "looter" friends afterwards ..... and you will too.... but you'll finally see them for the looter they always were.
I’m here because patrick recommended a book called “the ultimate gift “ on a podcast last week. I ordered the actual book as I always do and I read 80% of it before bed and finished it first thing in the morning when I woke up. It was great !
Wow. Currently listening "Atlas Shrugged ". About third in and I understand why Patrick will suggest it. Lets hope the rest of the books are as powerful.
I am about 2/3 of the way through Atlas Shrugged. It is completely changing the way I see societal interactions with business. As Pat said, get a personal relationship with John Galt.
After anything from Ayn Rand I'd personally suggest 1984 and Brave New World, and notice how each provides warnings of our current direction. But stock up on Soma.

Hey Patrick I want to take the time to tell you how valuable all your information is and thank you for that. Man I’m going to be completely transparent with you. I came across one of your videos where you said that you challenge anyone to read books on 4 different topics for two years. I accept your challenge because I want to change my whole life around. I’m lazy, depressed, fat and tired of living this lifestyle. Please reach out. Thank you
Financial books have been so helpful. I’m 54 and my wife 50 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. No longer putting blames on FED for our misfortunes. Saving and investing lifestyle in the stock market made it possible for us this early, even till now we earn weekly.
You have done great for yourself. I understand the fact that tomorrow isn't promised to anyone, but investing today is a hard thing to do for me now because I have no idea of how and where to invest in. I would be happy if you could advise me based on how you went about yours, as I am ready to go the passive income path.

I read Atlas Shrugged 15 years ago and it fully weaponized my mind to be an un-yielding, unforgiving fierce debater, competitor and to never let someone steal my greatness from me unearned. I learned so much about the Psychology of the winners and losers.
