Hello Mr Patrick. How are you? I saw a video where you talk about four topics and to read books about them. Sales, Negotiation, Human Nature and Money, right? Could you point me to some of them for each topic? I'm having some trouble choosing. Please indicate some for each topic. Thank you so much

If people are still hesitant to read "The art of the deal," I would suggest "Never split the difference by Chris Voss. Very similar ideas from both books

I read Principles in late October 2017 and Skin in the game this March. Both have been dominated my thinking processes for the last 6 months and have shaped my current worldview to a great extent. Also, I immediately read every book in the incerto collection right after SITG; Taleb is like the grandfather I'd love to have.

I read 2 of the 5. The first is The Art of the Deal when l was in junior high school back when Trump partnered with HBO to promote Mike Tyson fights. The second is Principles by Ray Dalio. I have the audiobook of the published edition, but l had the free pdf he had on the company's website years ago.
And thanks to your recommendation, l just purchased the 5th book on the list. It's now part of my Audible library.
    Thanks, Pat!!

Pat David one of the best negotiation strategy is if you don’t agree to other people’s or business terms then it is best to walk away and mean it because doing so they will go along with your deal if they have realise that you are the best option. That’s from the book The art of the deal!

Based on your recommendation I've read The Law of Success by Napoleon Hill and I absolutely loved it. It is a big book and little harder to read, because it was written a long time ago, but it is great. Really, it seems to me that most of the new books of this topic only focus on some things, that were already described in this masterpiece by N. Hill.

I personally feel think and grow rich tops them all. However, I'm sure it goes without saying as everyone already knows that title. Bob Proctor has been carrying around that book like the Bible for years. I'd love for you to get Bob Proctor on for an interview to pick his brain. I'm not a big fan of the secret, but I love Bob's work.

Looking forward to reading the first two books. Pat how do you have so much energy without drinking coffee? I understand that you can get high on life and I get a really nice high(I never tried drugs before) when I close multiple big difficult sales which feels so much better than drinking alcohol but usually it takes at least once cup in the morning to jumpstart my day with energy. Coffee is great but it is causing a ton of acne for myself so it is fascinating to me that you don't need coffee to be high energy. I really respect the way you constantly sell with high energy.

Skin in the Game - actually anything from Taleb is solid. His approach his mindset and his language. No BS - read it and grow and understand why the population as a whole voted for Brexit and why Trump was elected - why? Because we’re tired of weak people in charge who are not affect by their decisions. And we vilify in 21st century those who have Soul in the Game - inverted world (Scoislism at its best) - hence why it’s needs to change

Mr. Patrick, I'm so happy you came back to TH-cam! I'm am avid reader of business and entrepreneur books, so when I read the heading for this video, I said to myself, "I know I probably read at least two of his suggestions." I never heard of ANY of these books (except Trump's) ... so ran right put and bought a couple of them. The cashier looked upside my head and rolled her eyes when she was ringing up "The Art of the Deal" by Donald Trump ... I had to laugh! I'm not a big fan, but that's not the point. Thank you so much, I love your presentation, work and channel. Norene from Texas ... ♡♡♡

Hey Pat I've read Art of the Deal and Ive seen how his experiences helped get him where he is today and how he handles politics today.
Something surprising about the book that it is written in more as Art(no pun intended) rather than a science much like The Book of Five Rings you really can't read the book once and get the gist of it it must be studied and dissected with care.
I feel that the first chapter on his whole week is the best takeaway from the whole book second is the how he got his gambling license and thirdly the part where he's fighting the NFL in court.
Can you break the book down in a bullet point format on a more technical perspective?

  • @jpjp9111

    I'm at the library.
These apparently are popular books. I just put all five books on hold because they are all checked out.
I'm about to head to the used book store to buy the first one I see. I can't wait to start.
I see a book by Trump called "Think Big". Is that one any good?
Update: I checked out "the art of the deal" from another library.
