      Actually, I'm perfectly happy being Asian/Caucasian...... Ya know, it's ironic how "black" people in Europe don't have these problems.... but we have noticed that "African-Americans" who visit Europe and brake the law ---seem to blame their outcome on racism. I suppose if people were willing to face the mirrors given to them, we would have already reached world peace.

    This is not a complex subject, though Dolezal would want you to think otherwise. She is white and lived her life while telling others she was black. She lied about who she was and her credibility is still nonexistent since she is unwilling to admit the lie she was living. That she wants us to understand the 'me of me' of Dolezal is a psychiatric study in and of itself! She has yet to come to terms with who she is, and to think this interview explained anything more than what we already know of her is to deny the evidence, as she does.

    I feel like people need to get off her back. Ten years ago most of the medical community and people would of said the same thing about Transgender people. Who is to say Transracial doesn't exist we are constantly discovering more and more about the human psychology. I personally don't want my kids generation if twenty years time looking back and thinking "what bigoted racist people they were in the 2010s". Lets elect trump and complete this whole thing.

    • @SuperConormcg
      @SuperConormcg 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see your point but there is other ways for what could be transracial to occur rather than genetically. We have seen imprint and PTSD effects on humans where they disassociate themselves and register as different people.
      Also I think the fact three different universities are now looking into Transracial research shows there could be something there. Also it's 2016 now if Rachel is exhibiting a racial genetic link we've rarely seen or if this is a mental condition either way as far as I know she wasn't running down the street in a KKK outfit shouting "We blacks should agree with these dudes".

      +msmissy9976 gender isn't something your. one with,it's merely a social construct. you are born a sex which is your chromosomes.Gender is not biological ,but something taught after birth.people who ate born with two genitals is a birth defect.Our chromosomes are figured out 48 hours after conception so that kills literally any " born in the wrong body" arguments . Gender also has nothing to do with people taking artificial hormones,cutting up their bodies and getting plastic surgery.Fact is these both according to science is a mental illness.Its just taboo to talk about. They are likened to anorexia ,since anorexics also don't identify with their body.Nueroscience literally confirmed this last year and they are taking strides to get transgender people the proper psychological help. I'd research it if I was you.

      +Flamingo Bill There are studies that prove that gender and sexual orientation is "pre-set" in a person's mind. It's not a choice. Trans people experience gender disphoria, which you can look up. It's not fun. On the contrary, nobody ever experiences "race disphoria". Nobody commits suicide because they are the "wrong race".

    • @puppylovergirl303
      @puppylovergirl303 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The difference is that race has nothing to do with personality. She wanted to be part of a community so she changed her appearance and lied about how she grew up and was socially. While race and gender are both social constructs, gender is a spectrum based on personally identified femininity and masculinity; race has to do with heritage and physical features.

    • @inyerd123
      @inyerd123 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vienna Jordan I'm not saying either one is wrong. I'm not taking a side because it doesn't effect me whatsoever. if someone wants to be a different gender or race, I don't care. I don't know think it is wrong but it does seem a little naive. I am curious as to if your facial features are Asian. If your facial features are Asian, people are going to consider you as Asian before they will consider you as white.
      In the US, it is your ethnicity first and your nationality second. For example, African American, Asian American, Cuban American, Mexican American, Native American, etc.

    I always notice people will say "I don't understand what you are saying". I think they do understand what you just said its just away to avoid the question or comment. Its an avoidance technique. She just doesn't want to answer the question, it causes discomfort and anxiety. Its obvious she is not going to change. I feel we should just let her be what she wants to be. She is not really hurting anyone. I find her an attractive lady and seems fairly pleasant intelligent person.

    • @rpgplus9488
      @rpgplus9488 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's like how she answers questions that could be just answered with one word. "Are you black?" for example. This is like if someone asked me if I ate the last piece of cake and I go.
      "Well, I think we need to really ask ourselves about the possibilities. When you consider that we can't rule out the cake slipped into another reality, you then realize that it deconstructs our notions and understandings of cake consumption. Therefore, it's not a simple question to answer."

    black people can bleach their skin, straighten their hair, and wear hair LITERALLY from the heads of other ppl(weave from indian, brazil, malaysia) and white ppl don't get mad. but when a white person does it, it's not okay? Racism won't end if people don't get rid of these double standards.

Plenty of light skin blacks have passed as whites. I think we are subconsciously saying black is a poor choice to want to identify with.

    Growing up I never thought about or was confused by people of color. They were just people to me. Now, to hear her say "nothing about the way I live my life is white" offends me and should offend people of color as well. To me she is saying that everything about white and black people is different which is prejudicial. I always thought that people of color were people who lived, ate, breathed, got sick, etc. in the same manner as any other human. So, is she saying if you are black you live differently? I know that black people face more societal struggles than whites do and I hate that, but for a blonde white upper middle class girl to say she identifies her life as black then she is insane. I recognize the problems that race faces in our society, but I would never be so condescending as to say that I know so much about what black people go through that I should start trying to make myself look black and live in their world. I stayed with a friend for a weekend in the projects of Baltimore in his apartment and if Dolezal wants a taste of what society does to black people, go live there and then see if you believe that your life is just like or faces the same struggles as a black/person of color's life. In summation: nut job.

    She got a tan and changed her hair. She may pretend to be black but she isn't. Her father is not black like she claimed. She tried to pass off as a different skin colour and she is white with an identity crisis. Just because you admire something does not mean you are a part of that. Marrying a black man and having black brothers does not change skin colour.
