    yummy shrikhand..thank you ma'm..i liked the soaking saffron in water tip..i used to always soak in milk and not get enough color

    Fortunately!, thick curd is sold in markets, it's called Greek's yogurt, sold next to regular yogurt, which made me skip water straining step. I love shrikhand that was made by this dairy shop. khattamittha!

    it is even easier to make shrikhand in UK, we can get hung curd called total which is type of Greek yogurt so you can even skip the first procedure.

      No just use the regular curds and follow the recipe exactly to get a great final product...

    Can i use apple pulp? Will it make the shrikhand black? Will i be able to preserve it?

      We haven't tried it with apple pulp..You can try it out..Alternatively you can add chopped apple also if you wish to..

    i was trying but i buyed gowardhan dahi and when i was squeezing out the water of curd so with the help of a cotton handkerchief along with water all the curd was also coming out with the cloth please suggest me wat to do?

      Just leave the curd tied in a muslin cloth for an hour or so and then lightly squeeze it.

      The only reason this recipe not turning out proper is your curd not being fresh or curd must have got spoilt..
