Thanks alot madam. This moong daal sheera recipe is really wow. I make this at this mother's day for my mom. She is of 60 yrs old and suffering from backbone problem n I am of 28 yrs old. She often worried about me because I cook well but I can never prepare any halwa or sheera properly. I give her surprise at mother's day. That sheera was so yummyyyyy. My mom's eyes fills with tears. i just made this recipe, although i made it of a kheer consistency rather than that of sheera since my granny has restricted swallowing due to a recent onco-surgery. Still the taste was absolutely soft and soothing. Initially the moong dal paste started hardening but gradually it separated and became soft just like Tarla Dalal Ji had said. The end result was very tasty and my granny and dad loved it! Thank you!

Thanks for your reply. I've added saffron too but still the sheera looks yellow. It hasn't got the beautiful brown colour. Shayad dal kam bhuni hai ? I did it for about 15 mins on medium flame.
Mam I prepared the taste was awesome repeated thanks. ...but only issue was that. .sheera s outer look was like a lump just like rava sheera. ..and not separated one. ..as we get outside so what should I do?

i just made this recipe, although i made it of a kheer consistency rather than that of sheera since my granny has restricted swallowing due to a recent onco-surgery.

I was wondering if we can make the coarse daal first and then soak it. It is easier to grind dry daal in the coffee blender.
