I agree with you both!! Having the drive, loving the challenge & building the business is paramount to success. How many times I thought about throwing in the towel but that little voice inside me kept me going forward - 10 plus years, yes, I do love doing nails & I do love doing the best I can for my clients, taking it to the next level and the ongoing inspiration from you guys and others like yourselves. I too maintain a good balance with my family & my salon (I work 6 days a week for clients, but yes, 7 days a week for the salon). Thanks for this topic today, Balancing business with a family, specially with young children is extremely challenging, I'm still planning out nail business but my husband owns his own Const. Company its a 24/7 job, he is 5 years in and the balancing is challenging daily, I'm so thankful for KNOWING what to be prepared for, when I am able to start my own.
I think I get it now! Habib secretly has a crush on Tracy. :P I am on the same page with Habib. I want to work all the time because this is what I want to do. I love creating and seeing the look on my clients' faces when I have in some new "toys" to play with. It keeps me excited and motivated and it's never ending. I keep hoarding things. When I find out about new things, I just have to have it and it's an obsession gone wrong but hey I don't want to be right! I want to work so that I can get ahead. I don't want to live paycheck to paycheck or just live casually. There are lots of people that don't understand this type of mentality. I don't think there is a problem with working a lot if you enjoy your work. I know I do and that is all that matters.
