Massimo Charging system

Happy new year everyone. Well it's the first day of 2023 & here is a video on how to check your charging system on your Massimo MSU 500/700. This Massimo motor was given to me by another shop that said it was blow up.

Thanks for making this video, it's been very informative. I'm replacing a stator & I need the part #s for the side case gasket & for the o-ring for the coolant pump please.

11323-004-0000 GEN / STATOR COVER GASKET & this part # is for the o-ring back of the water pump 91212-004-0000O-RING 34.2X2.5 H2O

I wonder if they broke it trying to tap the cover off.
Maybe they installed a higher amp stator?
Do you see or hear of many engine failures with the Hisun 700’s?

I'm not sure what they did to break it. The owner had it worked on at a few different places before the shop I got the motor from worked on it. I know they said the owner didn't know much about the unit.
As far as motor failures with the 700. I really don't hear anything bad about them besides the clutches because like you & I both know the 500 & 700 are the same bottom ends. I have a lot of failures with the 500 tho. timing chain & tensioners taking a crap along with the cam lobs wearing off. I do have a 500cc from a "coleman" to take apart. the topend grenaded on it on an older couple driving to thier mail box. I need to do a video on the disassembly of that. but the topend was already taken off. I'll get to it sooner are later. lol

Yes you can. Of course removing the gas tank makes for way easier access.
