    That famous anti-piracy quote saying "You wouldn't steal a car?". I've always answered to that: "No. I wouldn't *steal* a car. But if I could copy it and have my own copy without removing the original I would."

      If everybody could have his stuff this way, then, why not?, It wouldn´t even be called "stealing" after a while (or piracy)... And one who wouldn´t "steal", would be an idiot, if everybody else got their stuff this way... ;-)

      Well this is a concept where intelectual value of anthing is zero. Spending day or months to design such a car does not entitle you to charge for it, because you did not pay for the material. Also educated people are not worth anything.

    • @klausbrinck2137
      @klausbrinck2137 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@markomrvelj It´s the peculiarity of property, that if one has it, a 2nd one cannot have it, and doesn´t apply to knowledge, cause the more people have a certain knowledge, the more knowledge exists. The first step of your thought was correct, I´m just missing the following 10 steps. Educated people are nothing worth, and cause anything comes from educated people, anything is nothing worth. The mistake is trying to give a price to everything, and not that something isn´t worth anything... Of course, there always be idiots, who need money as an incentive to make or share their progress, but those retards are gonna eclipse in the future.

    I did it! An amazing benchmark. Helped me realise that my printer wasn't calibrated correctly. I calibrated my flow rate and my x,y,z and e steps perfectly, and voila! I could print the engine benchmark perfectly. 1st few times I was a bit too excited and broke off 1 or 2 pistons, then I was careful and took my time cleaning up the print and rotating it slowly for a few times. After which it works perfectly!

    OK, attempt one failed, but only just. This is a great benchmark tool and I can see how it will help a lot of us tweak our printers to perfection. For me, I can see that I have a bit of over-extrusion and stringing which just made the parts a bit too stiff for the shaft which broke. Once I'd freed them, the parts themselves had enough clearance to move against each other (albeit very "scratchy"). I for one will be tweaking a couple of settings and trying to print this one again.

    Model was functional immediately after removing the supports and looks really awesome.

    @SunShine I managed to print an “Engy”. More or less successfully (in so much as it finished). I scaled the model 2x, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.16mm layer height. The connecting rod to crankshaft took some work to separate, the oil passage and water plumbing are 👍, however, I cannot seem to break free the crank journals and block. I do need to tune my bridge settings (a little droopy at the overhang at the top of the block). All-in-all I think it should be the next benchmark test.

    Your V-Twin 2 cylinder engine on my anycubic mega S printer was a success!!! Needed to print on a raft for the adhesion of those first layers, was a bit of a struggle! But amazing work and I hope to design in CAD my own design of an engine similar you really are a genius! Thank you :)
