Interesting points, as I have a ZS80 which I believe is quite similar. The compact size makes it a great alternative to my quite large Nikon P1000, Some additional favorite settings: User menu: .you can create a menu with just the settings that you are likely to want to change, without going through a menu tree. Very convenient in the field. Custom modes: You can create up to 3 specific modes for different kind of shooting. For my purposes I use: C1--'carry around' mode, 49 area autofocus, multiple shot shutter drive mode, for times you don't have more than a few seconds to get the shot. Typically necessary for birds and other wildlife. C2 -- general, with defined focus area C3 -- similar to C2 but with RAW enabled. Everyone's choice will be different, but it's a wonderful feature.
Hello, sorry I took so long to reply, I hope I'm not too late. I don't have tz60 myself but I would expect the tz80 would be the better choice because it is newer and more updated. The tz80 (also known as the zs60) is a great camera and takes good photos. I am actually working on making a video showing some of the photos that I took with the tz80. If you would like to compare the cameras more here is a link to a website that I found that compares cameras: cameradecision.com/compare/Panasonic-Lumix-DMC-ZS60-vs-Panasonic-Lumix-DMC-ZS40
I don't know why TH-cam recommend this video but it is worth it.

Hello
Which takes better photos? Lumix tz60 or tz80?
I'm planning to buy soon and I researched both cameras. Still confused

Is this one a ccd sensor?
I looked it up and it has a CMOS sensor, thanks for the comment.
