What a peaceful and soothing review. Might use it as the background sound for going to sleep. Not to mention it covered everything what a review should cover.
This has been my go to fo 14 years & I use it as my pocket secret weapon which seconds my Sony A6000. I even use it underwater with a special Lumix case. It has been around the world bringing memories home for all too enjoy.
I have a ZS50,and the on/off button is sooo close to the movie button that I was constantly turning on movie mode. Then I would have to power down and back on to take a pic. So I finally cut out a raised guard from an old credit card, made a hole in it a little bit bigger than the movie button, and glued it CAREFULLY to the top of the camera. It works great. Now I actually have to be trying to turn on movie mode. I don't know who thought to design it that way,but it made a wonderful camera a pain in the neck til I remedied it.
had mine since launch. Lens is amazing, the 12x zoom is better than the 16x and beyond. Also the low resolution gives very good images. The only thing it lacked was manual control, but spot metering, exp comp and AE lock fixed all that for me. I've now converted mine to IR shooting by removing the AA filter over the sensor (took 10 mins)and putting an IR filter on the front of it. I beat the crap out of mine over many years, never had an issue with the rear screen.
Thank you for the video! I have a Lumix DMC-FX37, Canon SX210is, PowerShot A630 and a Sony Cyber-Shot W510. For me these old cameras make such a difference compared to my 1000€ Flip 3 phone. They have wonderful colour sience, a real flash and with the SX210is I have a wonderful 14x zoom :D I am still looking to get a TZ10, the leica lenses are amazing!
@@JoeAquatic Not yet but it is also on my wish list, RAW and F2 is really nice! Also on my list is the Olympus xz-1 with F1.8 also RAW and a better zoom :D
Ive just dusted down my copy plus an even older tz3. I have to sat the photos from the TZ7 stand up very well to my full frame canon on a 27in screen. I have a problem in i cant find the charger for it I thought the battery could be che=arged in camera , but maybe thats in my later TZ200.
Hello, great video thank you. I was wondering - what are the settings you used on these pictures of the landscapes you showed? Also, do you know if it’s possible to change the film grain setting in SCN into colour or is it just black and white?
Hello to you too! There’s a mixture of settings used in these photos. Some scene, but I believe for the main photo used in the thumbnail this was simply taken on auto setting.
Thank you sir. Does it mean the iA in the dial button or the camera icon? How about the quality settings, did you select the SH and 10M when pictures? @JoeAquatic
Hello, I cannot find any TZ7 camera near me, what do you think about TZ5 or TZ8 ? Which one of these are similar to TZ7? I I want to have a similar look, thanks
Hi, definitely consider the TZ5 - the lens and sensor are very good, although the zoom and wide angle don't impress as much as on the TZ7. Perhaps the TZ5 might even be more reliable! In my opinion the TZ8 is a more stripped down model with reduced built quality - I would avoid it.
Mate, this is a fantastic review, it`s a true pleasure to hear you speak about this camera. That`s a clear follow for me. Thanks :)
such a poetical review
Thank you so very much!
I just found mine stored in the shed and forgot how much I loved it. It’s back out and in use again. Very nice video.
They really are fabulous cameras! Enjoy it and share your photos!

Funnily enough I’ve been thinking of taking my old tz7 out on holiday this year as I’m wanting to detatch myself from my mobile for a whike
It’s such a good camera for that. Take a spare battery though!

This is a great video!! Thanks for sharing the technical bits of Lumix..

Thank you for the comment! Have you tried the Lumix LX3? This is on my "want" list.

Hello Joe
I like older Lumix compact cameras too. Have a TZ1, TZ3 and a TZ8. I also have some others.
Greetings from lower Bavaria :-).
you're a hidden gem in this world
Great vid man!, just bagged myself one
This review ♥️ keep up the good content

I was wondering the same thing.
I think it was just on iA for those shots.
You got me… i bought it
That's great! I would love to hear how you got on with it Samantha - pray it hasn't disappointed you :)
do you know how different the tz18 is to the tz7? I'm wanting to get a lumix tz, just not sure which version.
Hi, in my own experience the quality tends to drop off after the TZ6-10, but you may be lucky. Some good reviews around! I hope your hunt goes well.
Lightning room fix everything jaja I have amazing picture with a model lumix fh1
Hello good day sir. I have also tz7 camera. What setting did you use this? Is this scn? Did you also adjust the white balance?

what's the compatible memory card to use? I have one and I can't transfer the photos
Should be an SD card, but maybe try a smaller capacity card as the larger capacities might not be supported by the camera.
Have you tried a lower capacity SD card? It supports up to 32GB SD and SDHC cards. If you have a larger capacity, more recent card, this may not work.
