Mike Portnoy was having to learn the drum part, not make his own, & playing Tool is much harder with the song changing odd time signatures; throughout; 30 seconds not so much.
someone just needed to hate XD portnoy and smith did different shows for drumeo. portnoy did "learns as fast as possible" and smith did "hears for the first time". very different shows, very different process. and hey, they are different drummers stylistically. and here you are hating.
