Mick, thanks for the heart! I worked my way through high school + college fixing mowers, hanging screens and replacing cracked windows for an independent hardware store. In Maryland, USA rain and high humidity were also the enemy of garden machines! In the 1950s the carbs were dead simple so after you dumped the tank all you had to do was clear the pickup, replace the tank gasket and intake gasket, (not always needed) the plug, oil, sharpen + balance the blade and they'd fire up and run for another season! Thanks for showing another generation how things work! Mega Cheers Mate!
Watched a Mower repair channel from Canada. He took a spark normal gap. Then he took another spark plug bent the gap way too wide. Tested it against. The normal gap. Both ran the same.
I 0nly ever use E5 premium fuel, I refuse to even entertain E10 and I recommend to my customers only use E5 premium or they will have issues. I've used plenty of those GHS Wartech diaphragms and so far not had a problem 😊

If a drive belt is rubbing, would that cause difficulty starting?
@davidoff59 yes on this model as the output pulley is spinning when you try to start the engine
Mick gets up 2 hours before he goes to bed and still has time to do quality TH-cam videos. Hats off to you.
