There is an error in the second row on your written pattern. It days 1 sc in next ch-1 space. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. It should say 1 dc in each of next 2 dc.
@@lindacaler559, I started making it the way the directions are written. I am not going back. I agree, the video did not follow the written directions.
Love a nice easy pattern! Don’t take this the wrong way, I love all your intricate blanket patterns & I love watching the tutorials but I just can’t do all those advanced stitches! I love basic DC & SC patterns with just one or two row repeats! ❤️
You have been posting the prettiest blanket videos the past couple of weeks! Thank you! (I have a solid red afghan that I crocheted in 1995 with Red Heart Super Saver Cherry Red. It’s been washed over and over but is still just as pretty as when it was newly made! 😊)
I learnt to crochet with you Mikey from scratch you are so easy to understand and I have gone on to make and do numerous items and some lovely patterns thank you x
I just finished this beautiful pattern using rainbow colours!! Time to weave those ends!! I absolutely love it!! Thank you Mikey ❤️ I will try to learn how to add a border at some point!! You re the best and we are lucky to have you!!
I would have said this was a “2 row repeat” but it’s quite a pretty, almost lacy look and easy to do whilst enjoying a movie. What’s not to love! Thanks from Australia 🐨🐨🦘🦘
Good morning dear, Your video is inspirational because I was making crochet handmade blanket for my little sister. Thank you so much for sharing your design , it is going to help me make the best blanket for her this winter God bless you. Best regards, Sarjit
I agree with Sharon thank you for the beginners parents . My son keeps asking me for a crochet sweater w/ hoody no sleeves . Short hanging sleeves w/ same finish as waist . Or something beginner friendly. Thank you .
If I want to crochet a big family size bed blanket , what should the length be , should I crochet half length and mearged them together or just crochet the full size length down
I am confused about row 2- the printed directions indicate a combination of single and double crochet stitches, but in the video, only single crochet stitches are mentioned. This is from the downloaded pattern (and what appears in the beginning of this video: “2nd row: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of first 3 dc. *1 sc in next ch-1 sp. 1 dc in each of next 2 dc. Rep from* to last dc. 1 sc in top of turning ch. Turn.”
You are definitely my kind of utuber.... already getting ahead on the fall and winter seasons and as soon as I get some yarn I'll probably be making a lot probably all your doing. Thank you for sharing your talent and tutorials .. hugs Lynn Weasenforth 💯💜💛💙🌹♥️
All your patterns are very nice. But I am looking for one which has back crochet. I saw that first and I want to learn that one please send me that pattern.
Hi I like it! If I'm not using the bernart yarn but using red heart super value. Will it look good? I just happen to have some 4 big skeins of the red heart. And the Bernart yarn it's really too expensive. Thank you!!
Bernat Yarn is a higher grade of acrylic than Red Heart Super Saver. It's why it's more money. You are getting a better yarn product. However, there is a market for the cheapest level of acrylic which Red Heart Super Saver is. Love with you do, do what you love. Just know the two products aren't the same.
Forgive me but when I started the second row, I did the 3 sc in each of the first 3 dc. However, I think there is a typo on the 2nd row. It says*1sc in the next ch-1 sp. but it then says 1 dc in each of the next 2 dc. You said and demonstrated to make it 1 sc in each of the next 2 dc. Which one is it?
This probably a stupid question, I’m still rather new to crocheting, but could this be done with more bulky yarn and a larger hook? I’m just not in love with the way thin yarn feels, I usually use Bernat blanket, mostly the baby for my projects.
This pattern is not working for me I get a 128 count continually but am left with two stitches at end of second row. I have spent one full day on two pattern rows and have an extensive knowledge of crochet...what am I doing wrong????
Math and I did not like each other in school and still don't, On the fountain row it starts out with 128 stitches how did it become 127 stitches? I have frogged this many times. I have to make it longer for the person.
It's because you crochet 2nd chain from the hook. the first chain is eliminate out as an usable stitch. So there will be one chain missing making the final stitch count 1 less.
look at the beginning of the video where Mikey is holding the pattern page, it clearly shows the yarn used and how made balls/skeins are needed to complete the project...

I love the way you teach.. No slacking or silly slow motion... Plus your work is impeccable... Thanks so much..

Hi Mikey thanks so much this is very simple and so pretty too,xxx
I made this but instead of a single crochet in between the v stitche rows I did a herringbone HDC makes for a beautiful texture...
Nice and simple 👍
Thanks

Muito linda essa manta !!!
Going to give this one more try. You mentioned changing balls can you use the invisible knot to do this?
I don't usually knot but if it works for you, keep on with it.
Thank you Mikey I’m gonna be doing this for my Great niece born end of March 2020 🤩😍
Love this Mikey very relaxing pattern thank you 😊

Beautiful blanket. Can't wait to start it. Do you think a stripping yarn would look ok? I have a beautiful teal colorway I would love to try.
I think it would be beautiful in your teal. Of course, teal is my favorite color.
I have found that if I put my single crochet into the space it looks neater otherwise it has a stitch that hangs
Muito bonito parabéns 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏! BRASIL 🌹🌹

Perfect perfect 👌
Great pattern, about how many schemes of yarn will this
Sent the message to soon, I just needed to know how many schemes of the yarn does this pattern require thank you.
@@crystalpistolscrochetchannel there is a link to the free pattern in the video description and pinned comments. All info you may need is there.
Thankyou so much
Beautiful 👌😍
I count 1.2 V 1.2.V it helps

Which one is it?
1 dc in each of next 2 dc is correct. The pattern is incorrect.

“What color is it? Red. What is it? A blanket.” 😂
Red +blanket = red blanket 😂
How long should a TV blanket be if the adults height is 6ft?
Lindo 🤩😍
Amazing work! The other videos I've seen having such amazing work is from the channel of Cassiekoy Crochet.
Nice “ pattern “
Thsnks beautiful afghans

Why not? That’s my plan. Anything goes!
Hi Mikey
If I would change colors to make it striped where would I change the color thanks
I get my inspiration from looking at other pattern colorways
How many skiens of yarn does it take to make this afghan
look at the pattern page Mikey is holding, it shows what yarn and how many skeins are needed to complete the project...
This pattern is not working for me I get a 128 count continually but am left with two stitches at end of second row. I have spent one full day on two pattern rows and have an extensive knowledge of crochet...what am I doing wrong????
Hmmm... Can you fake it and move up on a row and see if you can identify the error? Seems odd.
@@TheCrochetCrowd I never thought of that I will certainly give this a try...thanks
I'm eternally a beginner and make only easy stuff.

How much yarn is required for complete blanket... Please reply
look at the beginning of the video where Mikey is holding the pattern page, it clearly shows the yarn used and how made balls/skeins are needed to complete the project...
Mine seems to be widening isn’t the two v’s in the end increasing?
No it won’t widen as you are skipping stitches straight after.
The end stitch is 2 DCs, not a V stitch

Hi, where can i get one of those needles from ?
Ebay, Amazon, Etsy, just check on line...
😍😃😀
👩🏼🦳 👌 👍🏽
Too fast for me, I am still learning.
go to the little wheel on the vid, then select "speed" you can slow it down...
Pretty sure you did the 2nd row wrong. It’s not just a single crochet all the way.
Make sure you just follow the pattern if you think I goofed. It's always the better way to go to double check me.
