1 inch endless nylon strap works well . Push strap through injector wiring harness hole and chain with ring at rocker mount hole . Lift with one tine , it will easily tilt lowering to the engine block . Cylinder head weighs 517 lbs.
I'm wondering how it's holding up 3 years later? I just bought this head but put oem internals in it and some people have given me anxiety about what a poor choice I made.
you can reuse the head bolts as long as they are still in spec. And there is a different protocol for installing new vs used head bolts. mine met specs so I am reusing them. that's a great tip though. Thank you
That was an intense operation. Happy it went so well!
yes it went well
Wow! I wish we knew more about working with engines! Nice work! 😊👍

what does a shop charge to do a inframe rebuild with liners and pistons and New head? I know it as least $7500 in parts
$30,000 plus. I spent about $11,000 in parts plus having a guy come out to cut the counter bores
I cant find much info on ATL, do they have good reliable parts
Shaun Mitchell I have 50,000 on the rebuild so far and running strong.
So did u have a cracked head or what happend
dropped #5 cylinder
So could u have reused the head just curious
Don't forget new head bolts.
Unless something has changed.
Those head bolts stretch, threads weaken, etc.

The Arizona Homestead Project You’re welcome.
What is the total $$ on parts?
You will have to go to www.atldiesel.com. every engine is different and I don't know what all you need or want. Talk to CY he will help you out
