I grew up in a space where my parents clearly stayed for us and i wish they didn't just cause of the toxic atmosphere.love you guys ❤️

When listening to Shiv and Shikie especially, this conversation can make you feel some sort of way, because you can see how intentional parenting looks and sounds like. Knowing you never got to see this kind of parenting from your parents, little to no support, love or validation can bring some feelings of resentment.
Comparison is warranted now more so if you are an adult and watch yourself with your kids and wonder why the bare minimum was even an issue from their end but you can't dwell there, those feelings once in a while come, you feel like I'd have benefitted from some good intentional parenting but maji yashamwagika, hayatazoleka. You try to forgive them and promise yourself to do better.

being brought up in a toxic marriage between my parents ,made me learn a lot. Till date I wish they separated coz them being together made us think some toxic behavior in marriage are normal , to a point that ends up messing your relationships when you are grown , so I think when its becoming toxic ,just leave for the of yourself and your kids

I agree.. being born and brought up by parents in a toxic marriage wounds you in ways you will never know.. when you grow up, and start dating that is when you realize just how bad that marriage messed you up..

I grew up with both parents, but they separated later when I was 9 years. I still think that is the best decision they ever did. I am proud of my mum, she did not stay for us. Because if she did, who knows we would be the most resentful children.

Being a mom of 2, I can say that sacrifice comes naturally, but always remember the kids will grow irregardless. It's always a tricky balance and a thin line between being yourself and losing yourself being a parent.
It takes alot of self-awareness and being in the right mindset to balance.
About Education policy,I think its best to start immediately the baby comes.

The all wise Creator hard wired parenting basics into the human being for survival of the species. He also hardwired family and community into the psyche of humanity so that parents and offspring (all people basically) have a support system to learn from and lean on they navigate through the life. I don't think parenting comes naturally, until now I feel like my husband doesn't know how to stay with baby at all at times he just sleeps while holding him, when sleeping he doesn't even remember there is a baby in bed,for me I feel like he intentionally doesn't care at times.but he says when he provides he cares I don't like talking about it but I hate that statement.anyway I love the topic.

Finding a therapist or trusted friend to vent to or release this might be helpful,...? Good luck!
