ER physicians should be most respected, the focus, strenuous work load, timely decison-making affecting life/death within a moment, their own highest infection risk, just to name a few. I recently had to visit ER @ midnite, when my surgery site caused an unexpected bleeding; treated by an ER attending @ general hospital, who was a middle-age female of a small figure. Most ER doctors are males, by the way, due to tough job duties. This attending had a calm/friendly voice, accompanied by another experienced female NPR (nurse practioner). Quite surprised, this was medical school I had my degree/training, where I was too familiar to ER scene there; she knew too well how to handle/comfort my emergency situation with such professionalism (including mental comfort toward patient). Later, she told me she's been in this ER (as night-time attending) for over 25-yrs straight with that female NPR associate together, but only has been working for nite shift (so that she could be attentive for her kids @ daytime)!! 👍 👏 My RESPECT, what a team & dedication on that rough work environment! She was one of the BEST ER physicians I've met (other patients might have felt similar). Deviating from main topic of this clip; ladies, YOU can be the one, too, who serves/commands ER room, just like this YTer!
