The 80's had it's issues, but I'd go back in a heartbeat to live in this time. No internet, no social media, no bullshit....and just how good was Phil Collins

Issues? More like it was one long issue with a few moments of respite. Sorry, but '80s music sucked. Couldn't hold a candle to that of the '60s, or pre-Disco '70s.

Everyone always talks about the drum fill in this song, but let’s be honest, as powerful and well timed it is, it’s a very simple fill. I ALWAYS preach for people to listen to this song and appreciate Phil’s voice, how it builds up and at the end he just unleashes all the pent up emotion, and builds to that amazing crescendo at the end. I get goosebumps when it fades out every time because as soon as it gets really good, it’s over. Not many songs climax in the last minute. Phil is a musical genius.

In The Air Tonight - Once Again, One of Phil's Collins most known, Legendary hits that he had ever made in his career and in the history of music. He entered his solo carreer in the best way possible with this hit, and still to this day, it has it's effects, and goes well. This has to be the crown to Phil's work and tracks, a masterpiece, and you literally can't be a Phil Collins Fan, or a Rock N Roll fan, without knowing or liking this hit. The lyrics, and instrumental plus emotion in this track can't be matched, heard and used around the world in movies, games, shows and dominating the radio. All the best Phil, A True One of a kind. Legendary!

When I was at Uni in 2005, freshers week, I took part in a general knowledge pub quiz. 22 or so questions. The guy in charge of writing the answers on our table, who was, to put it mildly, obscenely drunk, thought it would be completely hilarious just to write 'Phil Collins' for every single answer. When it came to swapping the answers to be marked with another table, because it wasn't compulsory to swap with the table next door, he just held onto it and basically just marked the paper himself. He wrote 22/22 on the back of the sheet and handed it in, with everyone else, to the quiz master. The quiz master obviously didn't check the actual answers and just took the score! He won! A TV! 😂 I remember we were all laughing so hard, the sight of him carrying the TV back to the table falling all over the place.. the sheer look of disbelief on his face lol.
