The ZX is such a clean amazing looking club, when I tried them both I definitely enjoyed the ZX more (aka I was actually hitting it decently haha). Feel Srixon is underrated but slowly building some moment as of late.
To be honest I've never hit a 2 iron, ever. I have relied on my 3 wood for the tee shots, and a 4 hybrid from off the ground. But after watching this video, I can definitely see why a 2 iron could be a valuable asset in the bag. The only problem is price. At around $350 dollars here in Oz, I simply can't justify it. But a great vlog Lee, and an excellent comparison even when there is very little between them.
I hit both 2 iron demo's last week and hit them both amazingly well. I purchased the u505 in the end in a 1 iron at 15 degree as I did hit the 2 iron high.
Great I got a 1 and a 3 u505 to blend in with my t200 set up 😍⛳️👍👌
I have the u510 2 iron and the ZU85 4 iron. Love them both, but the Srixon feels so much softer.
The Srixon ZX utility is a fantastic 2 iron. I had one in the bag for a long time. I switched back to the P790 UDI 2 iron just because it was a couple of degrees stronger and about 20 yards further. Fantastic irons though, can’t go wrong.
It needed to be better matched up for a comparison. You went with a 120g X versus a 80g stiff...both completely different specs.
I have the U505 in #4 that I use for 2nd shots on par 5s (when I find my ball after the drive, that is...) and as a "driving" iron on tight fairways : this is the easiest club in my bag, makes me feel that I'm a much better ballstriker than I actualy am ! Fitter wasn't sure I generate enough ball speed to lift the ball in the air, otherwise I would have ordered it in #2 only for first shots when unsecure with the driver. Top video, thank you !
Huge difference from 120 g shaft down to 80 g. That could change everything. But even pros play graphite in long irons these days so there's got to be good reason.
Hey Lee! Question, did you ever do any further test on these two? I testing them both and like you could hardly split them. So just wondered if you had to choose, what you would game? Still the Srixon over the u505?
Is that those Q star Tour divide? I love those balls, orange/yellow is my jam. Those balls are CRIMINALLY underrated
Nice I've never hit a 2 iron or any utlity
Been thinking about a 2iron for years definitely will try these ones out
Great review!!
Everyone but you and Lester. 😂
Great comparison review! I loved that you used them on all shots and not just off the tee box. I’m probably buying the Srixon
505 is horrible. Fairway wood or hybrids are much easier.
I have a Mizuno MP20 HMB 19 degree 3 iron bent 1 degree strong. With a graphite shaft it's a fantastic tee club (when I am on my game).
I currently game a Titleist T-MB 718 2i. Hands down my favorite stick in the bag.
In your opinion, would the Nippon shaft be helping to launch the ball lower?
How far were you hitting them?
Maybe a head to head steel vs graphite?
What was the weight of the titleist shaft ? And flex ? … cheers
80 S
Awesome testing again 👌
Listen people I have a adila 18 degree hybrid which is probably worth £70 great condition and it's fantastic so all this shit new club is totally nonsense
I bought the 505 and hate it sole is way to fat does not feel good at all
Looks like a mistake was made when fitting the Srixon shaft.
Not at all I love the club. Favourite club in the bag. I just enjoyed hitting a graphite for a change.
@@LWG I leave it to you Lee. I couldn’t hit them.
