Yo my man. Did you leave the square little reed mold things in to reuse as a gasket for the new blockoff plates or did you take them out? They're like little square plastic things.
You got it tuned or just run it like that? because I did a M4 exhaust and wrapped the headers with heat wrap and installed these smog plates and deleted the cat and I’m wondering if I have to get a tune and flash right away or is it ok to run it for now how it is?
Are block off plates street legal? I’m new to these and on the block off plate website it sais it’s only for closed corse usage.. I’m looking at buying an r6 that has a full exhaust, tune, and block off plates. But I don’t do track. So can I still buy this bike for the everyday street ride? Idk if it varies per state but I live in Texas
In my experience, most performance mods are not street legal and are for closed course. I wouldnt pay any mind to it. Everyone mods their bikes. I dont really see police enforcing emissions or exhaust noise etc. Block off plates actually make your bike sound less ignorant if you have a tune. Not sure what the effect will be without a tune
@@gitaround5097 gotcha. Yea I was kinda thinking the same thing. Like from just riding around I don’t think a cop would know I have them on. I appreciate the reply
pops and bangs are not good for your engine long term. Most people rock with the pop + crackle for a lil bit cause it sounds cool. Maybe get a couple vids or clips for an IG flex lol. But if you want your bike to run long and strong, get the block off plates. They will enhance your bikes combustion of the fuel being pulled into the engine. You shouldnt notice gains / loss of power
@UCyG80tumnLfhjsVdiMdGdwg I havent heard of this. I think I do understand the concept. I guess I just wouldnt put a marble in my airbox. lmk if it you end up doing it and how it works out for you
@@gitaround5097 It seems a lot of people do the marble thing. I guess just like how people buy a bike for $20k but then are only willing to spend $5 for aftermarket parts.
This full system is really loud. I have to ride with hearing protection. As for the pops and flames, they are actually not good for the motor for long term use. I loved the sound and flames too
@@XENO-pj8cm I decided to go with Graves Ti headers and SC project midpipe and slip-on. This created a full Ti exhaust system. Does Akro do a full Ti for 21 ZX6R?
Blocking my plates off next week getting Dyno done and ECU flashing with airbox. Didn’t know it wasn’t good for the shelf life of the bike good to know. Glad I ran across this. Great video my guy kawi gang
Excellent work bro. she sounds crazy already know the vid does it no justice.. New subb #ZX6R
You don’t need no gasket on them plates. I just got them and it didn’t come with any either that’s weird
When you installed the block off plates did you reuse the plate that has the tabs that was in the factory ais? Thank you.
wont hurt if you leave it but not needed anymore.

Sorry Brother! I cant recall

tune after cat delete. Youll be ok for a while but I would prioritize getting a tune once you remove cat. Air fuel ratio will be way off
Great video
This may be a dumb question but do you need to remove gas from the tank before removing the tank?
no

no
Any point in doing this? Or should I just leave mine? My bike is a popzilla but, hauls ass either way.
