  • In this episode, I take a boxwood that I knew had some longer roots and started a root or should I say tree over rock project. I also share some tree photos from my road trip with Toby. I brought a few slabs home from upstate New Your as well, thanks to my brother. I hope you enjoy!

This is gonna be cool, Dave! I dig how you try to replicate what you see on your hikes.
Can I suggest moving your new stones out of the rain (or at least tarp them) to prevent glaciation from busting the slate up before you have the opportunity to use it.

Isn’t this a procedure for spring time? Thanks, keep growing

For sure would be better. However all my MBS friends have said often how boxwoods react well most of year. Thought I’d try. I purposely did little root work and have plenty of recovery time before winter and will cold frame it. 😊

I thought the same. However I was watching Harry Harrington’s Rosemary video the other day. He was talking about Rosemary is better to work on in summer. In the comments, he included Boxwood and Olives. I was perplexed as well. But he sure seems to know what he is doing.
