      The TX also was good. In my opinion the TX sacrifice resistence in combat, for power. Patrick's Terminator have less attack power, but more resistence. And this maybe can be valid becose the TX is a Terminator of Terminators, she must have extreme power.

      His (in relation to Arnold's) small frame compared to all the technological and power superiority he had compared to T-800 made everything even more unsetteling. Additionally the fact that he was portrayed as an evil cop - a man of authority which you cannot oppose with this cold, sadist kind of look. All of that only amplified the scare. And the scare comes from something terrifying which we cannot comprehend. That's why I think Robert Patrick's performance was so powerfull.

I think that's why the second ones better, Robert Patrick definitely worked better as a villain than Arnold because him being more adept at being human yet still off, made his transition to killing machine much more genuinely frightening, but I think the first film adds context to that, the Early terminators are big clunky killing machines, now they're like psychopathic shape shifting triathletes

    • @Icetea-2000
      @Icetea-2000 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The fact that he was smaller actually added to the fear in my opinion. Because when you saw Arnold in T1 you were like "yeah ok this guy is huge and a robot, this is a force of nature" but then you see Patrick as the T-1000 and after we see how he can transform his body into virtually anything you realize that he doesn’t need to be bigger or have a better power core, software, skeleton, whatever, just the nature of his existence is enough to make us fear him because he seems indestructible. And making him look like a pretty normal guy only makes that contrast so much more stark
