      @@bigg368 I would say so! There’s a very diverse set of people out here and I haven’t really seen any sort of discrimination or harassment in my three years here! As with any area, I’m sure there are some bad apples, but my personal experience is that everyone is very friendly and welcoming!

    Menifee is a very nice city, quiet and relaxing and not recommended for people who like to party all the time. Menifee and all its neighbors cities can offer many things such as big houses with a lot of acreage something that can not be found in LA area and OC area, you can also do hiking, bicycle and lots of walking, fresh air and far from the smog

    I’ll be moving there from Signal Hill, Ca. in about 4 months and I work in downtown LA. With that said, all the things you mentioned as drawbacks are what I actually LIKE about Menifee. I’m looking forward to retirement in about a year and a half, if that. Until then, my commute is gonna suck, but I think it’ll be worth it !

    What I hate about Menifee is the local shopping centers, when you're driving there you can't turn left you can't make a U turn you can't do this and you can't do that and you have to go all the way down the damn end of the street before you can turn around, everybody is boxed in while driving like sheep. After spending the last four years in a small town where there's no traffic lights there is traffic circles and four-way stops which means you're not sitting at a traffic, like I've become so accustomed to, not being in the city traffic that going back to California cities is absolutely disgusting with a huge loss of freedom.

  • @Moondoggy1941
    @Moondoggy1941 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The one thing that really bothers me about Menifee is the lights, they are all timed to be red when the groups of cars come to the light, so Newport is the main thorough fare, and you will hit every light on the red going from the 215 to the 15 freeway, one early morning on a Sat. it took me 45 minutes to get to the freeway, it should have taken 15. 30 years ago no one knew where Menifee was and now everyone knows where Menifee is. It is a great town and the cheapest homes closets to Camp Pendleton. We are literally 1 1/2 hours from almost anything in So Cal.

  • @Moondoggy1941
    @Moondoggy1941 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Costco is now 6 miles away from Newport on the 215 freeway.

    Menifee is more of a SD feel kinda. It is lay back. Visit Breweries in Murrieta and Temecula and Wineries. Bike with the Bike Clubs, and mountain bike Greer or take and Uber to Old Town like the Gas Lamp. Hang out at PitStop and Savage Chef Bar and Grill etc. Party at Blackbird Tavern, Pub and Club Old Town, and Baileys after 10 with the DJ. There are also 2 Speak Easies in Old Town but take an Uber from Menifee. Never Drive to Old Town Temecula to party.

    This is a good service: to let people know why they wouldn't want to live there. Post farming/mining Menifee was started basically as a retirement community, so it pretty much continues to be that. In other words, if you want to spend the rest of your life "doing the same shit over and over again" (as you phrase it in the video), then I suppose it's a good place, (because of the low housing prices). It has none of the interesting things you show in the introduction to your videos. So I guess if you just want to spend the rest of your life sitting around watching TV, (or driving out of town all the time), Menifee's fine. An unremarkable, soulless, completely forgettable place where nothing interesting happens.

    • @LivingSomewhereInSoCal
      @LivingSomewhereInSoCal  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it just depends on your interests and stage of life. I have young kids, so we love all of the parks and youth sports leagues! I do what you’re saying though. It can be dull or repetitive for someone who likes a faster pace.
