I am honored you guy's mentioned the Vietnam Vet
I myself am a purple heart disable Vietnam vet of 1969-1979
Thank you much
Screen from cell phone to TV. Enjoy your videos very much. Stay safe
The catfish was awesome ! Good luck with the wisdom tooth Britney.
They would make great wedding souvenirs. A little sanding and a little oil and now they are cutting boards...
One thing we did for cookies was to set the log at 45 degrees and slice off oblong cookies.
Just a bit more fancy..
Tyler and Britney may have just discovered another income producer: “Sawing cookies instead of baking cookies”! We like all of your videos because we love to see a young couple who know how to make things entertaining, both at work and play. All the best to you and your family.
I wish our cedars here in Michigan were that big. Love the color and the smell though. Nice to see a husband and wife work so well together. We don't mill of course, but myvwife and I are similar. 32 years.
See it in your eyes....yep made for each other... My experience talking now, your savvy and back ( I see your mechanical skills)working and your ladies smile and charm will net more profit than all the cookies you can bake...nuff said.
Them is some pretty nice cookies!!😳
A lot of great comments! U guys make a great pair!
We just had our 60th anniversary, and turned 80 the same week. Was home on leave from USMC, 1963!!
Keep up the great work!!!
Thanks so much for the words of encouragement! And thanks for watching!!!
I made a clock and center piece for the table and one was used as a guest book for my wedding unfortunately the cedar lasted alot longer than the marriage lol
Cedar cookies yep that's different.
Bet those cookies have a nice smell when you bake em, too.....er....wait 8^) Just kiddin, they will be a nice touch at the wedding. Cheers!
Very nice we just had a customer ask for 2 of them cookies but they want them to be 30 in across an oak . That will be a first for us as well
Really like the look of the sawed cookies ! Your shirts look very nice . Was thinking about this , maybe you could make shorts like Britney wears with your logo on the pockets on the back ? Awhile back this young girl at church had Jean pants that had these pockets in the back with very nice designs on them . My sister has an embroidery sewing machine that she uses to do towels and shirts . Possibly you know some one that could do pockets on shorts or even pants that you could sell with your logo on them . Just a thought guys.
Raise one end up to 30-45 degrees and cut oval cookies if you haven’t tried that.
Nice looking cookies!
Those top and bottoms that are left would make some nice bowls!
I saved one for just that!
@@wallacefarmandsawmill you all also turn??? Love to se that as well.
@@wallacefarmandsawmill do you turn? That would make a nice wedding present for the couple that the cookies are for. Just an idea.
We carve. Would love to get a lathe one day.
We used to call them lily pads
Turn them cookies into clocks. They'll look real nice
Another great video guys!👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice work. You are a real “Sawyer”. Great video. Best wishes. Blessings
I've thought about makin a jig to do some lap siding or a shingle type cut myself. Very interesting video y'all. God bless
You should! Thanks for watching!
@@wallacefarmandsawmill I figure if I can build a sawmill from scratch and make it work as good or even close to as good as a manufactured mill, I can do pretty much anything I set my mind to do. That's been my way of thinkin for probably as long if not longer than either of you have been around. No disrespect of course. The mind is a terrible thing to waste.
woodmizer has a jig to make cookies
Cookie monster 👻
What do you do with all the sawdust?
Nice cookies beautiful. Is that saw a 394 hus
ky?
372 clone. Holzforma
I still think I would rather have Brittany make chocolate chip cookies
What do you think of maybe putting six chunks on your base board?
From Australia. Why would you go to all that stuffing around when you could very easily use the old Sawmill????
Hey guys I don't know how you are planning to dried them " cured " but I used to sell some at the St.Augustine flea market and the best luck I had to dry them without cracking stack them like other board you dry with sticker in between and I found best a darker or shady area alet them dry slowly I had the least cracking that way have a great day
Thanks for the tips!
I have tried to do this and almost always crack. A neighbor told me to cut at an angle and this would prevent cracking. Have you ever tried that? I have not yet.
yes i did tried that and was the same than straight cuts that is why i let my log dry first for almost a year cut them stack them with weigh on top and i got a old mobile home it dark in there and leave them in there for around 3 months but i salvage around 70 to 80 % of them that way @@davidcharles3131
Is a kit for your saw mill
do you sell any of those cookies ??
Britney , these legs of yours - we hardly got a glimpse in this one . Must get you off camera duties and back in front of the lens .Summer will soon be over and they'll get hidden inside wool and denim stuff . Happy days -big smiles x
Should have braces it sideways. That jitter will make them rough like they were done with a chainsaw.
I'm not sure how wet the sawdust is when it comes out of the mill but couldn't you sell aromatic red cedar sawdust? Same with some of the hardwoods to use in smoking meat.
I’m sure. We get this often. You would have to mass produce to sell a product like that. Also for all the pellet suggestions we get, 1 we live in Mississippi not Massachusetts. What I mean is, it’s hot here nearly year round. We don’t have much of a winter. So selling pellets is nonsense for us. No market. Cedar we only cut every few weeks on a small scale.
I think it would have been easier if you made two shorter logs
That tree is actually Juniper, I know, I know we refer to it as "Eastern Red Cedar"...😉
Is there an email address I can use to contact you? I have an idea that may help you make your clean up of all the saw dust less labor intensive.
