I saw a video of a saw mill owner in Northern Missouri that figured a way to burn saw dust to heat a sealed pot with tires in it and distill gasoline, diesel, and gas. The gasoline was used for trucks on the property, the diesel was used for the mill and equipment, the gas was used to heat his house, and cook with. Then when the tires had given up all it could, the steel was sold to scrap yards, and the powder was sold as carbon black.

I'm so glad you are wearing PPE. I may have 4months left; I have 4th stage lung cancer that is also in my liver and adrenal gland and other places. Some of that is from cement, brick dust, and other muck I breathed in, working as a spark. Look after your bodies; you only get one go.

I am sure you have consider this. Capital log lumber yard saves their slabs until they have a pile and rent a chipper to make mulch. Maybe hook up with a landscaping company to sale it .

yep I could tell the boards were 3/4" I work with wood to make things and am familiar with sizes up to 2". weighing on getting a LT40 so far I"m out but one day that may change, enjoy seeing you guys doing these things and have learned a few things from your channel. I was going to say pine logs . Pine is one of my favorite to work with . Yes , I did notice your new glasses and head phones . I was watching some videos on sawing . This guy had some very interesting machines . All were diesel all were band saw type . Very heavy duty . Not wood miser , I forget what those were . Thought I saw a wood miser 50 hydraulic diesel mill . Good luck , like your videos as always . God bless .

Merry Christmas from Northeast Alabama y'all. WOODMIZER is a super good company and they actually care about their customers for sure. Hopefully someday I'll be able to afford a WOODMIZER sawmill but until then, I'll use their blades and anything else I can.

Tyler, do you use a metal detector on your logs prior to cutting them on your circular or LT 40 machines? I have watched several of your You Tube films, but I don’t recall you mentioning or talking about checking your logs for foreign metal objects.
Nope never do. I don't buy yard trees though. We buy from loggers on logging tracts and typically dont see metal.
I have always been curious about. How do you get rid of all the sawdust.

Just my two cents, do you think it would help out the machine to last longer if you blew all the sawdust off the whole machine, with a leaf blower it might take you five or ten minutes more at the end of the day, like i said just my two cents.Happy cutting
We blow it off at the end of most days with high pressure air hose.
