- In this video I go into a little more detail about THE boat build from the previous video. I enjoy taking you guys out on the lake! Follow along as we have a good relaxing day off. Lots of new exciting sawmill footage coming in the near future! #boat #sawmill #boatbuilding
Don't know if you read back this far? I remeber my Dad and older brothers building a canoe, they steamed and bent the wood, built a structure frame to form it and sanded and sanded and sealed it. I was between 7 and 10 years old so I don't remember much. But, I'm 60 next year and I think someone still has that Canoe! I'm the youngest of 4 by far, I need to find out and document the story for the great, great, grand children before any of us is gone.
I too have a sawmill. One observation on the video. Your bow strap need to go under the bow roller before connecting to the bow eye. This will keep the bow from bouncing around on the trailer and kep it from moving forward and hitting the truck during sudden braking. Transom tie downs or a strap over the aft part of the boat will keep the stern from moving. Just my $.02 after 40 years of boats and 23 years on the sawmill.
Was you bragging or complaining? 😅🤣😂
Glad you brought us along with you and family. Keep up the good videos and your content.

How luck you are , in UK we are restricted to 5mph on most rivers and estuaries 😢

Would buy them from you
Been looking plans for a skiff like this for shallows in NC
Phil Bolger designed many in this style. Dynamite Payson adapted some to his simplified stitch-and-glue method. A quick search of both names together will get you plenty of resources.

You should consider shaving your beard or at least giving it a good trim
Thanks for the grooming tip. I will not be shaving anything. I will however give it a touch up as it continues to grow down to the ground.
What river are you on where the barges were going by ??
