    “As long as you give them love, water and food, the locs will grow irrespective of what your expectations are of them” that was so empowering. This message is much needed ❤️

    I definitely prefer having irregular locs! Very much makes it even more unique. Beautiful locs. Lovely personality. Gorgeous!

    omfggg that part about loc irregularities… so real. i’m 2 years and i found myself recently getting nit picky about my hair but i need to chill. our hair is beautiful. no more of that bs. (you look stunning btw)

    I needed this. I started my hair myself with twist February of this year. And I am still self conscious about my parts not being even. Its good to see someone without perfect parts but still with beautiful healthy hair. Love it! Thank you.

    Loved this video! I am 2 years and 4 months loc’d. I started my own locs and because I couldn’t understand how retwisting would keep my two strand twists together long enough to loc, I interlocked my locs. I have done retwists for as long as 4.5 months but I come back to interlocking to keep my locs structurally together. I like being in the pool too. I also worry about thinning locs but right now they are great. I have not started using conditioner but I recently added a hydrating shampoo to my routine. I shampoo my locs once a week and I only need to apply oil after I towel dry.
    Your locs are beautiful. TFS!

    Just scrolling thru channels about Locs....Loved the conversation, Truth. Sister, you LOC's are simply GORG! I've been flipping back and forth for over 2yrs now on weather to LOC my hair or not. I 2 strand twist and leave it for a couple weeks then re-do or just wear scarfs. I'm obsessed with tying scarfs. LOL! I will keep checking your channel, love the vibe! So, Chill!

    Thank you for this video! My locs just turned 1 year 🎉 but I sometimes have to remind myself not to compare my locs or my texture to others. I have a lot of frizz, some bunching, and some that still unravel but I’m patiently going with the journey.

    Frizz is Sexy... I love Yannie’s vibe, she’s the real deal. I notice the younger youtubers focus more on aesthetics and “length” which I guess is age appropriate... you’re on point with your overall messaging; this is one of the best loc videos on TH-cam 👍🏾✌🏾

    Thank you for this video! I have been watching vlogs on here and IG trying to research locs that way, and the many views, preferences and opinions have head spinning! My appointment for install is next week and this eased a LOT of anxiety! I like that you are easy-flowing and not so uptight about your hair! I'm being verbose...so I will just say thanks again sis lol

    Interesting video! I was thinking about going 5 weeks without retwist this time around, and next time I will go longer, adding one week gradually until I can stretch my retwist for 2 months because I need to figure out how to deal with that thickness at the root. Since my hair is neck length, when it's not retwisted, it could get really crazy looking lol so I'm in the process of figuring it out. For now I've been enjoying head wraps and head ties to make this process easier.

    • @TheTelltaleTasha

    Does the conditioner come out when you wash it? Does it leave build up over time?

    • @TheTelltaleTasha
      @TheTelltaleTasha  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! The conditioner does come out, but you have to make a concerted effort to make sure you wash it all out. I have to make sure the water is getting to the root of ALL the locs and that I’m letting enough water run down the length of the locs and really squeezing out the product. It’s not a rush job at all, gotta take your time. I’ve had a Loc here and there still have a little conditioner in it and it’s really enjoying, so I take me time now
