okay to explain further more the ugly stage doesn’t exist it’s simply us being insecure with our african selves and i been through this stage before this is my second time getting locs but doing it the right way and i gotta say when you let go of tryna look good for other people honestly you realize this stage is the hottest stage of ya life cause it forces self love because locs are spiritually powerful like that if you have any self hatred the “ugly stage” is meant to knock you free from it

Hi sorry, I don't dye my locs myself. In the past, I've used creme of nature blonde dyes, but I didn't do my current color/touchups & have decided leave it to professionals to prevent damage. I could do a video on the different colors I've had though. Thanks for watching!

Thank you! I've done a lot of experimenting myself so I'm no expert lol, but just make sure it isn't anything too harsh because dying them repeatedly can damage/weaken locs. Also, keep them super moisturized after dying them. But that's just a good habit to have in general. 🙂

@@AlisaDianeAnderson I started my loc journey in March and my hair is ear length. It’s fun and I love my locs but I wish I had more length but it’s coming with time. I say definitely wait till you get the length you want if you don’t want extensions because I hate my short length so much I’ve been wearing protective styles over them.

It was a regular hair tie! I'd pull my locs to make it look like it was a headband.
When. You do a retwist what gel do you use?
I personally don't use gel for my retwists just to reduce product build up. I'd use oils + water and sometimes a twist cream.
