Thanks for the explanation of the SOLARA awning. Couldn’t understand how the led was attached to the awning. Now I know. My awning is only a year old and it ripped at the mounting track on the end. So now I need to replace it.

I see that you pointed to the inner cord on the Dometic awning that Solera took out. This now makes the Solera awning over-extend by 3".

Solera is a lower-priced fabric and the quality has gotten worse from the time this video was made. It used to be the best before they decided to "Make it Better".

Welded fabric is terrible. We used our awning twice on our 2021 FR3. A few hot days in N Carolina and the heat pressed welds just fell apart. Two months out of our warranty. No more Solera awnings or Forest River in general

According to Solera(Lippert), they have made improvements on the Universal Solera Fabric, specifically with the welds. Sometimes with the right approach, companies will honor an expired warranty; it is worth a try calling Lippert. Solera, I haven't given up on, Forest River, most definitely.

How many Solera's do you have to order to get one without holes in them from being folded and creased in box ? This is a for sure problem .
