    This was VERY helpful! You say in your video that 2 people can do it with ease (a wonderful confidence booster for my husband and I), however, being vertically challenged, I would not say we did it with "ease". Now if "ease" was a third person who brings an extra ladder, that would have been awesome! Thanks for the great video! Our awning looks so much better!

    I need to replace my awning. We currently don't have any type of weather guard, but could one be added to the replacement fabric? My awning is a Carefree of Colorado, like in this video.

    Couldn’t you just attach your roller tube to the end caps and then have the electric motor roll it back up? Since there’s no springs or anything, the motor would retract itself all the way back. Re-deploy and retract again to make certain it’s a go. Thoughts? Thanks for the video!

      This is the easiest way we have of doing this from an installers protective.
      Of course if you want to take apart the legs you can do this.
      However you don’t want the upright legs to spring forward and you do have to remove the end caps to remove the old fabric and install the new material.

    The Shade Pro fabric is much less expensive than one from Carefree. Is the quality comparable?

      Hi Carlos
      Sorry...I don’t know what Shade Pro is using.
      I can only comment on our fabric. Our materials are the same that we have used for over a decade with wonderful reviews, comes with a 5-year warranty and we stand behind our fabric and work.

    will this method work on a Carefree of Colorado Eclipse 20' awning on a 2006 KZ Montego Bay 5th wheel?

    So my patio awning tore off and now I can't get the arms to come in. How would you approach this? Thanks.

    • @Toughtopawnings
      @Toughtopawnings  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’m assuming that this is a powered awning? The arms will come in if it is.They are hard to push in but will come in with pressure and then they can be zip tied in place until the fabric can be replaced. If it is a manual pull down awning that is another bag of problem!

    What if your awning has LED lights in the tube and not at the camper

    • @Toughtopawnings
      @Toughtopawnings  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Our replacement awnings will not accommodate that because we don’t see the edges where you would have to have the wire for that light bar.
      What I did to my personal coach was to remove the light bar and used 3M tape to apply the light strip to the side of my coach right under where the roller tube sits when rolled up then shortened the wire that powers it. Now I can use the light strip when the awning is in or out.

    My roller tube is riveted. Should I just drill them out? The unit is a 2018
