    The Camco is too tall/thick and make you have to be on a downgrade to empty into it. Not ideal for use smaller/lower travel Trailers. The barker is cheaper made, but easier for lower trailers to get waste into it.

    I had a wind incident that broke and snapped the little casting arm like the black one you had I’m assuming it’s a 9100, I could not find that replacement bracket anywhere the motor itself is fine but the bracket was broke. So I was able to order a replacement one on Amazon for around $200 and it works fine but now I have a good motor with a cast aluminum bracket that’s broken in half and I’m not able to locate that bracket to replace it so that I’d have a spare motor. Any chance you have those brackets in stock?

    Good info... I full-time in a cheap but shoddy park in Phoenix. Just started getting some issues with my AC compressor during peak heat, at first it was tripping the breaker but now I have a fan blowing on the breaker so it doesn't got hot and trip but the AC compressor will just wind down then shut off. After plenty of reading, advice from others and buying a volt meter I see now it is a low voltage high amp issue. The park manager wanted nothing to do with it and got defensive so I called SRP direct and they sent a lineman out and determined they had a low voltage supply on their end (108v @ the master meter). The lineman said they will send out an electrical engineer for complete analysis and to get it fixed it will need a new transformer and/or thicker gauge inbound line. Hopefully they get it to 120v so I can see if the compressor is actually faulty or not. With it running my volt meter is only showing 102v average usually during heat, with the occasional dip down to mid or low 90s and that's when the compressor shuts off. I will be purchasing an autoformer as well just for that added electrical charge and safety.

    I can't make this up. I bought a Battleborn 50ah battery for 900.61 CAD. Had issues with the battery since day, got about 2 years of poor use from it and it finally crapped out. Asked to proceed with warranty and they quoted me 816 USD BEFORE TAXES AND DUTIES. Imagine they want me to pay hundreds of dollars MORE than what I paid for brand new. Do not buy Battleborn batteries. I've purchased a few different brands over the years and honestly the cheapest generic brands have worked best for me. No need to spend the big bucks.

    Those "safety valves" can have a problem of falling off just when you need it most. Messy. The connection will turn and unlock when you are taking off the cover cap, twisting the drain hose, vibration from driving down the road, etc. Solution is to purchase and install a 4" Fernco connector for PVC pipe. Slide on the Fernco past the trailer's connectors, attach the safety valve, slide the Fernco toward you to cover the connections: tighten the 2 hose clamps, evenly. Viola! Fernco PNH-44 No Hub Coupling, 4 in, PVC,

    Hi Eric, really enjoy your podcast. I have the Thetford Aqua-Magic II and its about 5 years old, the bowl would no longer hold water. I discovered the seal conditioner and wall-a, worked like magic, for about a week. I purchased the toilet seal kit at a local RV supply store. The old seals were rough so I replaced both the closet seal and flush seal, using a lite application of silicone plumbers grease to hold the seals in place and lubricate. Wall-a, toilet held water perfectly and problem fixed, I thought. After about a week or so I started noticing the bowl water level lower and lower each time we went to use it, now it is emptying the bowl water in about 10 minutes. I’ve cleaned the seal again from the top with a brush, checked the alignment and confirmed the cup is closing completely. I’m trying another application of the Thetford conditioner and seal lubricant to see if this helps. My question is do you think it would help or is it necessary to replace the “U” cup? It appears to be pristine.

    You only discussed the RV plumbing that uses PEX. What about all the braided vinyl tubing RV Manufacturer's plumb with (and often plumb with incorrect pex fittings that leak)? Flair -It also makes an adapter to splice from vinyl tubing (often used in slides or where piping needs to be flexible and PEX is too rigid) and then the manufacturers simply use PEX fittings and PEX cinch clamps on vinyl tubing improperly that will leak. This is typically the most common leak point in RV's where PEX fittings are used on vinyl tubing.

  • @tombrizzi8904
    @tombrizzi8904 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    "it doesn't matter, it's all PEX" - No, in RV's it is all typically PEX B. There is PEX A, common for professional plumbers to use that use different fittings, clamps and rings than PEX B as well as different install tools. Again, at Home Depot and most RV's it is all PEX B, but when shopping for fittings don't buy PEX A fittings/rings, etc.
