  • In this video I breakdown the replacement process for my 2019 nissan rogue. There are a few mistakes as far as naming certain parts or confusing one part for another my apologies. Autozone only had 1 in stock out of the 3 around and advance didn't have one. Part cost me 59.99 plus tax and took about an hour and a half. I hope this helps anyone experiencing this issue and realize how much money you can save.

    Great video, I'm having the same problem with wife's Rouge. Auto Zone near me said they couldn't order part dealer item only. Ordered part from Nissan using vin # and they charged me $70.00. Just waiting on a warm day out hear in PA. Thanks again

    Would've liked to see the unplugging and plugging to new one for troubleshooting.

      I agree I explained why it's not possible plug is too short to just do that and pedals block the access to screw holding it together. They do little things like this to discourage folks from repairing it themselves vs paying a dealer labor per hr plus parts and taxes. Hope my videos helped. My blower just went ill ge repairing that in 2-3 days

    My Rogue is having the exact same problem. So glad I found this video. Can you share the part number or the link for the resistor?

    Good video, thanks for sharing. I’ll be doing this weekend. Question. Why not replace the blower while you’re at it? The blower motor is only $20 bucks and from what I’ve researched it is the cause for the failing resistor, the motor starts to go and draws more current than normal frying the resistor. If you don’t replace the blower the resistor will go bad quickly.

      Sorry I'm late, I thought about it but I'm waiting for parts to fail normally that way I can make separate repair videos I only do sets on mechanical jobs like shocks, brakes, axles and lighting but I don't include it in my tune up just normal wear and tear I do t want my car to break but when it does ill keep posting lol

    Is there anyway to test the resistor before going thru all of that?

    • @ElsocraTV
      @ElsocraTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm sure there's a way, but as far as testing it on the car itself no due to the lack of slack in the wires, in order to reach those plugs nissan decided to block it with the damn pedal system sorry there may be a way to use a multimeter and test it im just not that good at reading voltage etc

    Hey nice video. I have a 2016 nissan rogue I have the same problem but I have a manual switch to turn the ac on not automatic so you think the resistor is in the same spot?

    • @ElsocraTV

    I have a 2014 without the climate control, will the resistor be the same? Thanks!

      @kikofranzful I don't know but if you can look up what it looks like you can match it to the ine in the video I don't think so but I could be wrong... Goodluck

    Great info, my mom car is having the sam problem. When she shuts off the AC the blower only stays on. Do you think it’s more than likely the same issue?

    • @ElsocraTV
      @ElsocraTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, mines did it for almost 2 months before I finally figured it out hope the steps help out!!

      Is the 2018 rouge the same? She has a 2018. Also, did you disconnect the battery when replacing?

    • @ElsocraTV
      @ElsocraTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      @lopezf81 2018 is the same part, I recommend disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery. I did not as I've been working on cars for 21 years

      NOTE! There's 2 types I mentioned in the video the black one im replacing and a grey one NOT SHOWN HERE that is most likely for the cheap nissan rogue without the digital AC if yours looks exactly like mines you're set just follow the video to the T and don't hesitate to ask for help. If you get it running I'd like to know!
