There, the services are just like this: with these kind of dance and this kind of music, with huge infrastructure differences, obviously. Come on. I am created in righteousness and true holiness. I went for my church (Hillsong) carol last year and this year and had an absolutely amazing time worshipping Jesus. It was all about Him and neither the lights, elaborate sound effects and instruments nor nicely costumed worship leaders detracted from the quality or genuineness of my worship.
I thank everyone on the team who worked hard to put together this world class carol to worship the One I love. Next year I'll buy tickets for as many of my friends as are available to attend and I am sure they will meet JESUS when they come. I'm also very sure that none of my unbelieving friends will have anything bad to say about the EXCELLENCE of the production, because they are not threatened by beautiful innovative approaches to things.

Some of the comments have made me think about slave trade and it’s impact on the African Culture. The missionaries evangelized. But they also forced their culture on us and made us think ours was inferior. This is in true African culture- dance, energy, music, drums. From the the Ashantis of Ghana to the zulus of South Africa, this is how we celebrate. This is how we would have worshipped and praised the King of Kings if another culture wasn’t imposed on us. And this would have been normal and wouldn’t have attracted some of these comments. Are you God? And who are you to determine what is acceptable in his sight?

Balance that with the nume3roys old testanent "pagan" practices God abhorred and judged. There are cultural practices that are despicable. God, the creator outlined these. Not everything done by culture is productive or healthy. Check the balance on that ideology. Man does not set the standard of what is right. We just think we do. Come to Africa and watch a 50 year old woman dance deeper than these people and you can understand that different cultures praise God in different ways. So if your entertained then good, I'm sure Jesus's preaching was pretty entertaining. No man makes parables without having a creative mind that definitely entertains.
Also watch Joyous celebrations videos, the South Africans will praise God with no shame in dancing in his presence

This was a very beautiful amazing christmas concert ... who cares if some of these young people are believers or not. God works on mysterious ways , and when its time for them to have a personal experience with him it will happen , Praise the Lord with music, with dance and with voice, be excited about him fall in love with him and only him. I might not be great with words or prayers but when I sing I sing to the Lord (even that my singing might be awful for Jesus is so perfect.) and to all those haters posting here negative words... there is a saying that says, If you have nothing good to say.... dont say, or write nothing at all. I can’t imagine any one would watch this and have something negative to say about them. David the man after Gods own heart danced till he was undignified. What a Fabulous Display of skill and talent, it is beautiful to see the respect and joy these people have in themselves and in the Lord♡ It's a wonderful thing to see people come together as one human race and to appreciate each other as individuals, and accept each other for what we all have in common as humans as well, the ability to love, forgive, hope for a better future and always Dream♡

Absolutely magnificent!! The word "Christmas" entered the English spoken language meaning "FESTIVAL of Christ"-- a celebration, music, dance, a joyful time. Look at the joy on the faces of the participants, hear the praise in their voices, --there is nothing sacrilegious happening here, only musical and dance praise by HIS children to The Christ. And I have no doubt that the cheers from the thousands in the audience watching and listening to this celebration who were on their feet had NO thoughts of Satanism, Illuminati or any other of that ilk. Just watch, listen and enjoy!!!
This was such a beautifully done service. I personally don't care for nor like the "little drummer boy" but O come all ye faithful was incredible. For those of you judging, do so righteously and not merely by appearance. You don't know the hearts of all of the people on the stage because that is truly what the Lord searches, and neither should you be concerned. If YOU don't listen to nor know the VOICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT in your own life, what business do you have pointing fingers? This I know, most of you criticizing are no less gruesome and legalistic the the Pharisee of Jesus' time, most of you are white washed tombs, goody-little church goers who don't even know the One you claim to follow because you don't even know HIS voice. Very little do. All you've known is judging people by their culture, traditions, and appearance. Don't forget for what measure you use to judge, it will be given back to you -- and not from just anybody but the ONLY perfect and righteous judge Himself. Be careful.

Even a non-believer who saw the amount of talent and hard work that went to this show would've thought "Man, whoever they're worshipping must be so great that they put on such an awesome show", which I think is a legitimate way to introduce God to people.

I love how Hillsong always display excellence and creativity in everything that they do. This is a performance worthy to present before the King! 💙💙💙

There are many comments that are quite disrespectful. Some of the attire may not be appropriate in a church building but this was done at an entertainment venue. Also, this is not a worship or church service but rather Christmas concert event. This is pure entertainment. Many of these of performers do not officially attend a Hillsong campus and at the best, are volunteers. They have worked very hard to put on a performance like this. Many of those attending have probably never stepped one foot inside a church and so as a way to get them in the door for Sunday, Hillsong Church London has done a great job marketing itself, along with its brand, into the community. I remember something that the late Rich Mullins said, "If you want entertainment, go to a concert. If you're looking for God, go to church." And that's how it is with Hillsong or any church. You have Christian entertainment and then you have church. This is entertainment, not church.

It was said in the beginning that it was supposed to be about Jesus. Well very little of it was. Most of it was worldly and did not bring glory to God. The church (those who claim to be Christians) seriously lacks discernment and does not care about this: "And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean." Ezekiel 44
There is nothing inappropriate here. Anyone who knows God, Jesus, The Universe, The Source or whatever you choose to call him knows that every corner of the Universe is His Church. This is heartwarming. All people and all cultures are a part of the Lesson of Forgiveness which is what Jesus taught. Just because others' cultures are different does not make them "inappropriate". This work honors that all of us have value and traditions to share to the world with joy as the Creator intends. Some self-proclaimed "Christians" should consider stepping out of the box of narrow minded thinking if they truly wish to see peace as the Prince of Peace intended.

Iam Shawn King David danced in the streets in his shorts Praising the Lord our God. He was the apple of God's eye. When his wife said it was Undignified of him to do so, God made her barren. It's God that draws the people through holy spirit not through entertainment ! thats why most believers end up leaving church once the challenges come or the church doesn't meet their expectations, this is out of order! People want to be entertain now a days and not challenged by the true and unadulterated word of God! Mercy!
Victorious In Him I agree, however this specific case is different. This wasn’t a church service at Hillsong, it was a Christmas concert open to the public sponsored by the church. In the end, their goal was to fill a stadium and celebrate Christmas together while planting a tiny seed of Jesus-in hopes that the public would visit the church in the future.
