I’ll never forget I was 12 when my grandmother introduced me to it. I remember her telling me how they can do all that with their voices and I thought wow no instruments. Well 8 years later and she has passed and I still cherish this memory and love this song and think about her everytime I hear it.

I love this song for two reasons. My moderately severe autistic son LOVES this song, he always tries to mimic the clapping and foot stomping scene and you should see how excited he gets, how big his smile becomes when I play this song for him. The second reason why I love this song is because they are incredible at what they do, the song is catchy, they have amazing voices, and this version of Little Drummer Boy is by far my most favorite ^_^

This song always evokes a happy memory, 56 years ago when I was 6 I was in the Boys Choir at my parents church. A friend of mine explained why she loves the lyrics of the little drummer boy and it makes this song even more beautiful- “Me and my drum” symbolizes that everyone has a gift, even if it’s small, it can be given to and appreciated by others and even make them smile ❤️ Hence the amazing lyric, “Then he smiled at me” :) Having the best parts of yourself be seen by others is one of the best things we can do for one another!
