Pentatonix is a living example of my personal motto: "Celebrate Diversity!" Diversity not just in who they are, but also in their musical arrangements. I like this celebratory version of this song much better than the boring one I had to listen to in Church as a child. They obviously enjoy singing, and we Fans can't get enough! :-)
Why does it matter? You mean the group wouldn't have as much value if they were all of one race or one nationality? The goal should be not caring who the people are rather than trying to deliberately mix it up to prove a point. I hate social engineering. It is manipulation, plain and simple. Never thought I'd comment on a PTX song this way, but here goes: My 2yr-old son is enchanted by this song! :)) Seriously. I've been an fan of PTX for several years. Having followed their work irregularly, I discovered this song only recently and ever since I've been playing it quite often (or non-stop when alone), sometimes repeatedly. The version is breathtakingly uplifting and triumphant, yet modest and with abundant sensibility. I'm not gonna complicate interpreting my son's impressions - listening to it he's so calm, but somewhere after the 3rd replay he becomes so focused on facial expressions and body movements he starts imitating you, guys, and even tries to sing along! :) And he doesn't do that much often or with just any artist that may come along. Raising him and watching him grow has been a mix of joy, fear, resolve, pride... He's my prime motive to be the best man I possibly can... Pretty much the usual, I guess :) But I'm so happy that your work, among other things, stimulates his expressiveness. I only hope that, as he grows up and develops, he'll grow seriously fond of PTX. Thank you, all only the best to you all.
I honestly wonder who thumbs-down these so early. Are they people who hate Pentatonix and only come here to thumbs it down? Are they casual fans who just happen to dislike the video? Are they pretentious viewers who simply dislike the video because it's not up to their standards? I can't imagine a random fan thumbsing it down. If I didn't like it, I just wouldn't like that particular video.
The choir singing with the highest praises and their hands up in acclamation is where i always join in with unshakeable faith and tears in my eyes .. The choirs entrance was astounding .. avi will forever have embedded this vision of faith as well with the rest of pentatonix .. When i hear this song i always imagine all of us there with him at his throne, welcoming him .. finally. I cant wait for the day.

As Christmas comes I'm listening to all my favourite carols again, sung by different soloists and different groups. This version of O come, all ye faithful by Pentatonix is SUPERB!! As good today as it was six years ago. Sung beautifully and with JOY. And I also loved the entry of the choir in the background, adding a wonderfully joyous finale to the singing.

Seriously.
I've been an fan of PTX for several years. Having followed their work irregularly, I discovered this song only recently and ever since I've been playing it quite often (or non-stop when alone), sometimes repeatedly. The version is breathtakingly uplifting and triumphant, yet modest and with abundant sensibility.
I'm not gonna complicate interpreting my son's impressions - listening to it he's so calm, but somewhere after the 3rd replay he becomes so focused on facial expressions and body movements he starts imitating you, guys, and even tries to sing along! :) And he doesn't do that much often or with just any artist that may come along.
Raising him and watching him grow has been a mix of joy, fear, resolve, pride... He's my prime motive to be the best man I possibly can... Pretty much the usual, I guess :) But I'm so happy that your work, among other things, stimulates his expressiveness. I only hope that, as he grows up and develops, he'll grow seriously fond of PTX.

As Christmas comes I'm listening to all my favourite carols again, sung by different soloists and different groups. This version of O come, all ye faithful by Pentatonix is SUPERB!! As good today as it was six years ago. Sung beautifully and with JOY. And I also loved the entry of the choir in the background, adding a wonderfully joyous finale to the singing.
