@Cooper McKenzie poultry hens are bred to be eaten. I don't prefer eating anything else but poultry hens would die themselves in a couple of months. Also, either way, I'd have to buy chicken for my dog, so I'll buy some for me too :)

You shouldn't put the vitamin C drops in the water, they dissolve before the guinea pig gets to drink it, it is much better to give them 1cc of the vitamin c drops by mouth once daily I have 2 guinea pigs also the 6 month nail clipping trick is not true every guinea pigs nails grow at different rates so you should cut them when they start to form a pointed tip before they curl.
+Aussie alpine birds And other natives Not all cats have to be indoor cats...because that's solely up to the owner if they want their cats to be indoor only or both indoor/outdoor. Outdoor during the day time when it's bright and sunny out should be fine, but bring them in either before it gets dark or as soon as it gets dark. Depending on the season, cats shouldn't typically roam alone too much at nighttime.
Shih Tzus is a pick food eater, when they're young they will eat all the things you give them, but when they reach about 7 months old they will start begging. my mom is a veterinarian, its better to give them table food but you need to check what you are givin them before actually giving them.
my dog died, and that is why I cannot eat and sleep well. I wish he would be in my dream so I know he is okay. I want him to know that I love him dearly and I miss him so much, I hope he just doesn't die. 💔
I'm so sorry. I dream about deceased pets, too, like my grandparents' old dog, Lucky, for example. She died when I was little, like, about six or seven, and my own dog, Sam, loved her very much and even took after her. I know how you feel, bud. It's sad :'(
I lost my dog a Maltese named Louie two months ago. I haven’t been the same since.. I’ve had him for 10 years and he was fine. Then in a span of 2 months he became lethargic and would sleep all the time. Took him to a vet hospital and in two weeks he went from looking ok to looking almost like he was on the verge of dying. In two weeks he passed away. I am still wondering if the vet hospital really gave him the appropriate treatment. To my horror when I picked up my beautiful dog they complained about him being fiesty. He’s the most loving playful dog ever. Until he came out of that vet hospital . With a bill close to $40,000. After he’s died I haven’t been the same. Sadness is the only constant in my life then. Most terrible feeling losing your baby dog..
{ღ•* Rainbow Wolves*•ღ!} honestly i’ve lost trust for vets. they did surgery on my guinea pig bc they said he had a bladder stone, but it was just bladder crystals. they could have just flushed them out without cutting him open. my baby died a few days later
Robin Timmons My uncle put my sisters dog in the back of his truck and while he was on the road he jumped out :( luckily he wasn’t hurt but I few months later he got hit by a car ;(((
@@victoriagreene4697 I'm so sorry that happened to you! It always makes me nervous to see dogs in a pickup truck going down the road. They always look agitated. Ready to jump out and nervous. That's not a picture of freedom to me!
We put my dog in the back of are pick-up, but it has the roof attachment on it so she is fully in. We would never put her in a open truck, and we have a nicely sized travel kennel. We leave the top door open so she can move around, and when on trips, every two to three rest stops we take her out and let her relive herself and play for a few minutes, she's an old lady now, but she loves to play.
@equestrian 15 it isn't, she loves it, the windows are propped open and we have a fan for when it's hot, and a heater for when it's cold. She also has a pillow and her toys with her.
My fur-child is a jack-russel beagle mix her name is Gabby...I rescued her from TLC animal shelter, and sadly she was abused and really hurt ( I’d rather not say how ) lets just say she had a lot of surgeries. Anyways she protects me from literally anything
My cat was 25 years old and her name was Hoody. I miss her a lot. She belonged to my Grannie. We also had a cat named Shortie. She was about 17 years old. They both died in 2020. Shortie dies after Hoody.
our baby got sick a few months ago, he turned yellow. the vet told us to just put him down because it's almost impossible for him to survive. we decided to just treat him, and make him take vitamins and supplements. after a day, his skin color improved and then a week after that we took him to the vet and they were surprised because, his recovery was quite fast. we still made him take supplements for a few months but he's okay now. he has become more affectionate, it's just sad that he can no longer eat the food he used to enjoy

Not enough drinking water, wrong diet, ignored. Not loved. your negative energy, locked in cages, cars no secure home, listen to your pets needs they know what we say and how we feel, talk to them and listen to what they have to say and feel lol. Not enough exercise. 😆 calm assertive energy Is the key to happy Pets 😇😻💕🐈🐆🐛🐕
Crates are ok though, but if you hear them crying or trying to get out, let them out. If they are crate trained, they will go back in when calm and without any distress. My dog loves his crate, only sometimes we lock it because of absence of people in the house. Of course, as a normal bedtime routine, we don’t lock him in. 💜❤️🌈
I've had 4 dogs. I got all of them at individual times and when they were puppies. I've never had 2 dogs at the same time. My Maltese lived 11 yrs. My first Pomeranian lived 13 yrs. My 2nd Pomeranian lived 18 yrs and my current Pomeranian is 9. Each pet, I learn something new and try not to repeat errors again. When my 18 yr old Pomeranian passed away I was devastated even though I knew it would happen eventually 😔 Still, I was very sad for probably too long and I swore that I'd never get another dog but time passes and I longed for the companionship of a new dog. After 9 months I adopted a new Pomeranian and I'm in love all over again. I have spoiled all ny dogs but also trained them properly and fed and cared for their health properly too. I feel like I love my pets maybe even more than humans but Ive never had a child (human baby) of my own so I guess I cant compare what I feel to what a parent feels about their own baby/babies. All I know is I've loved each one of them. 🥰❤
@Stephanie Russell 15 and 16 is a long time too! Not long enough though huh. Sorry about that. I wish dogs could live as long as people can. Im not sure humans were meant to have pets like we do. Back in history animals were always used for farming and sledding and for protection.
Thank you sooooo much, I had not been taking my dog to the vet regularly and might have made his life shorten but now I can fix it thanks to you! I owe you soooooo much!
NotSoCommonSense it’s crazy that birds can live longer than humans. And dogs have a life span of at least 16 years and if your lucky 20 years (cats don’t have nine lives, they have one) boggles the mind doesn’t it
Also the reason why dogs and cats survived for hundreds of years is because they can mate. Dogs have been around since the beginning of time Dogs also have two ages. The human age and the dog age. If your dog is 5 years old in human years the dog is five but in dog years you multiply the human age of the dog by seven. So if your dog is 5 it’s 35 in dogs years. But that don’t mean the dog has been alive for 35 years
My mother's cat was diagnosed with cancer. The vet told her that it was from the rabies shot she was given. Ironically.... It I was the same vet office that gave her the rabies shot! There was a massive cancerous tumor growing on the back of her neck where they get the shot. Looks like the typical American vet works like the typical American doctor ... Force poisonous drugs onto the trusting gullible uneducated public who are trying to do their best for their fur babies all to make a buck! It's disgusting! I highly recommend finding holistic doctors and vets if you or your animal is sick and need to be healed because hospitals are just good for emergency traumas like car accidents, broken bones and heart attacks, it would be pretty rare to ever be "cured" in a hospital.
I also want to add that I just overheard my mother say that it is better for them to get the rabies shot on the LEG if they HAVE to get one because of where someone might live. That way they can cut the leg off if cancer takes over.

I agree. My bfs dog used to hardly eat and would puke all the time then I started giving him small little bits of my food and it would encourage him to go eat his own food. I give my dogs small little bits of all the foods I eat excluding candy. One of my dogs favorite treats is ice Cubs or a piece of bacon that I chew up for them-->(that way it gets some of the salt out)
I'm so sad upon watching this video. I missed my dog so much. she passed away a month ago. before she passed away i went back to the city because i have work, little did i know she still there on the spot where she always hug and kiss me when I went home in our province. she keeps on waiting. after a week of waiting on me she just lay down and don't have an energy anymore to wait on me. They've said my dog is longing for me. And I'm sad I feel guilty bcoz my dog got died far away from me. Now when i'm going to our province I'm no longer complete anymore because there's no Mia( name of my dog) anymore to hug & kissme. I really do missed her. Run free in heaven my baby 😪💔 ❤️
One of my other chicks died i had one the Reason she died it was becouse of my freaking cat it bit sit lung the por one couldn,t breathe then a fes minutes later she passed away then i had two chicks one passed away but one din,t im so happy but my muy and i we don,t know in she or he is a hen ora rooster
This is a good video with some good advise, but some of these are bullcrap. Let's be honest. Like raw food being bad for pets and giving table food being bad for dogs and cats. More people are actually figuring out that raw food and homemade food is better than a lot of these commercial pet foods out there.
Just think about what the animal would eat in the wild, meat etc and just cook it to how you like. that’s the most natural and best for them. All these commercial foods have chemicals etc
True a lot of the dog foods at places like wal-mart and superstores are filled with corn products and artificial flavours and colours, there is nothing good in them.
My Yorkie was 12 when she got uterine cancer. The vet suggested that I put her to sleep bc she wouldn’t last the weekend. I took her home and I started making her meals like chicken and peas and carrots. The Beneful dog food had just came out and I started her on that. She ended up living 2 more years. I’m so glad that I didn’t listen to the vet! She was such a good dog.
I learnt that after feeding grapes to my dog me and my dad was feeding him grapes my mum comes home one day and goes you know grapes are toxic to dog so we stopped feeding him grapes his still healthy and living
I really want a pet puppy for Christmas, I've been asking my parents for a dog ever since I was 5 and now I'm 15. After watching this video I've learned a lot about what I should and should not do if I get a dog and the responsibility that comes with it, oh and I know u don't care but today is my 15th birthday. Sorry for such a long comment. Have a lovely day!😊
patience makanza don’t listen to him about the meat for cats domesticated cats are still considered feral and they need the meat component in order to survive. If you want a good dog food brand pedigree wet and dry is a good brand to go with. I give my dog wet pedigree and they can have corn in their diet because corn is a starch but provides energy. Dogs can eat vegetables too. I am currently in nutrition too but I would stay away from beneful since they got busted for putting antifreeze in their food to add flavor also stay away from red dye found in treats and dyed kibble.
Raising a puppy is a lot of work and will require lots of patience and at times will be frustrating ... BUT it’s also so much fun! and when your dog grows up you will miss how they looked when they were a puppy and will remember all those times like taking it out for it’s first walk , teaching it how to walk up/down stairs , first bath , first time seeing snow etc etc ... you will have so many memories
Ask your parents if there is any achievable goal they really want you to meet in the next year. After they tell you the goal, ask that they allow you to adopt a puppy if you meet this goal. Give them a list of reasons why you would be a responsible pet owner and why having a puppy would benefit you later in life by teaching you about responsibility and caring for another being. Let them know how passionate you are and what it would mean to you. Good luck and happy belated birthday!
Sweetheart, please, please, get a puppy from the rescue center, they need your love too, and they are just the same as bought ones:-) and I feel it will think it's very lucky to get you as it's owner. Xx
Bright side: says they know everything about animals and how to keep them healthy. Also bright side: 8:18 *talks about guinea pigs, shows video of kids playing with a hamster*
I'm from mauritius, got 3 dogs, 2 of them past away, and 1 is still here. Both that past away was vaccinated and regularly taken to vet.. It's us human that wants it that way, but they don't need it that way.
Guinea pigs should not have seeds, just pellets. They also should not have vitamin C drops in their water because it could lead to them not drinking it if it doesn’t taste good to them which can lead to them becoming dehydrated. If you are concerned about your guinea pig not getting enough vitamin C, feed extra veggies like bell peppers and get pellets with vitamin C (Oxbow Essentials Cavy Cuisine Adult Guinea Pig Food is one of the best brands)
An indoor guinea pig does need regular pellets and fresh vegetables since they're sheltered from sun exposure by being inside they should get 1/4 cup of food daily per pig and one cup of fresh vegetables. Also I'm one of the owner's that prefers to provide an extra vit c supplement a lot to do with one of my piggies being a runt so full grown she weighs 2.8 ounces and that's as big as she'll get an underdeveloped voice box and is illness prone so I'm still fighting an ear infection that managed to reach her brain and cause permanent damage (just a noticeable head tilt but that will in no way effect her quality of life) so with all her health issues she needs extra vitamin support
Cat 1 Guinea pigs 9 Rabbits 4 Fish 999999999(A lot) We sometimes find animals on the streets and take care of them for a few days before putting them in a shelter (obviously there are vet checks between those days)
I haven't done some of this stuff and my dog is still alive almost double the average lifespan for his breed and outlived his whole litter. This is good advice though ☺️
I was very careful about my dog. I did all the research before adopting him, asking veterinarians and friends who own dogs. I wanted to be the most responsible owner ever, and I read books about their body language, their diet and needs, and yet we had him for barely 4 months... He was 3 years old, and I regularly took him to the vet, checked his stool, never gave him table food, and yet... he died from hepatitis (not viral hepatitis, since he was vaccinated) 😭 It's been more than 2 months since his death, and I miss him so much...

I'm feeding my cats and dogs human food 2 years and they're healthy. I never fed them kibble. They Never got sick since i got them.. They're living Happy and playful life. I'm not agree to this "feeding human food is wrong" Feeding cheap full of preservatives food is wrong. Feeding what you eat is right and best choice for your pets.🤗

I have a Siberian Husky mix; I trained her for hours each day for two years, and now she's the best friend I've ever had! I know that's supposed to be my boyfriend, but he doesn't get me like she does .^_^. My boyfriend has an old Australian Shepard, a Aussie-Poodle mix, and an old cat... It can be a zoo there at times.
Great info! However, the info about food is not totally accurate. A raw meat diet is excellent for your cat as long as they only have the raw food. A cat's stomach acidity is naturally extremely high & eating meat protein stimulates the production of the stomach acid. It's when you bring dry or cooked food, ie wet food into their diet with the raw food that can cause serious problems. The cat's stomach has to break down the kibbles in the dry food which brings the stomach acidity way down, about to the same level as a humans & it takes several hours for their stomach acid to return to normal. If you give your cat raw food while the stomach still has low acidity levels it would basically be like if we ate raw meat and could make them extremely ill. As for giving your pet the portion recommended on the bag or can, I never do, because it recommends way too much food! Which can easily lead to obesity of your pet. Your best bet is to ask your vet about portion control. I speak from personal experience, my cat went from 15lbs to 10lbs & it took well over a year to overcome that battle, & believe me it was a battle!
@@robbanks4356 I think the vast majority of vets get most of their money from vaccines. I've indoor only cats at present but they always get the initial vaccines. But rarely if ever after that. My former dogs cause they go outside always got their vaccines. Dog def need certain vaccines.
My dog and my old dog got there young puppy vaccines that were needed than just important ones and we only take them to the vet if we see something is wrong our old dog at the end had a uti we took her to the vet for but other than things like that or when they are sick we don't
Please get your dogs/cats vaccinated. Do not think you know more than a medical professional that spent 8+ years in school learning how to treat animals. People have become so arrogant. Your ability to google conspiracies does not make you comparable to a licensed veterinarian.
I fed my dog all kinds of people food and everyone including people with medical licenses always told me how horrible for him it was. Cut to he lived to 19 as a dog breed with a 14 year expected lifespan. Get them regular exercise and you're golden

We put my dog in the back of are pick-up, but it has the roof attachment on it so she is fully in. We would never put her in a open truck, and we have a nicely sized travel kennel. We leave the top door open so she can move around, and when on trips, every two to three rest stops we take her out and let her relive herself and play for a few minutes, she's an old lady now, but she loves to play.

our baby got sick a few months ago, he turned yellow. the vet told us to just put him down because it's almost impossible for him to survive. we decided to just treat him, and make him take vitamins and supplements. after a day, his skin color improved and then a week after that we took him to the vet and they were surprised because, his recovery was quite fast. we still made him take supplements for a few months but he's okay now. he has become more affectionate, it's just sad that he can no longer eat the food he used to enjoy

You are exactly right
Agree. You get a pet then make them a member of the family. We took them we are responsible to them.

When my 18 yr old Pomeranian passed away I was devastated even though I knew it would happen eventually 😔
Still, I was very sad for probably too long and I swore that I'd never get another dog but time passes and I longed for the companionship of a new dog.

You JUST got a puppy a year ago? Huh
Gee, it's a mystery how dogs and cats survived for hundreds, even thousands of years, without vets? Boggles the mind, doesn't it?
They did, but not long and healthy lifestyles. Vets just tell us how to avoid disease and help our pets live a long and healthy life.

This is a good video with some good advise, but some of these are bullcrap. Let's be honest. Like raw food being bad for pets and giving table food being bad for dogs and cats. More people are actually figuring out that raw food and homemade food is better than a lot of these commercial pet foods out there.
My vet said the right table food is beneficial, I was going to leave a comment similiar to yours but you got it 💯
Just think about what the animal would eat in the wild, meat etc and just cook it to how you like. that’s the most natural and best for them. All these commercial foods have chemicals etc
True a lot of the dog foods at places like wal-mart and superstores are filled with corn products and artificial flavours and colours, there is nothing good in them.
Many cat and dog kibbles contain a lot of grains. When chosing food you should look for high meat percentages.
She was such a good dog.

onions and chocolate are also toxic
And chocolates :V
Raisins are also toxic to humans that's a fact 😂
But theyre my favorite..

Yes they are all properly taken care of 🙄
Budgies & Quails I, too, have a lot of pets. 1 dog, 1 gerbil, 2 guinea pigs, 2 parakeets, 1 starling, 12 chickens
I also forgot to mention that I don't put the vitamin drops in their water I put it in their pellets
I agree with most of the guidelines here thanks for the reminder

I was very careful about my dog. I did all the research before adopting him, asking veterinarians and friends who own dogs. I wanted to be the most responsible owner ever, and I read books about their body language, their diet and needs, and yet we had him for barely 4 months...
He was 3 years old, and I regularly took him to the vet, checked his stool, never gave him table food, and yet... he died from hepatitis (not viral hepatitis, since he was vaccinated) 😭
It's been more than 2 months since his death, and I miss him so much...

Just because you don’t see anything wrong with your pet now doesn’t mean there won’t be anything in the future. Take your pet to the vet

I fed my dog all kinds of people food and everyone including people with medical licenses always told me how horrible for him it was. Cut to he lived to 19 as a dog breed with a 14 year expected lifespan. Get them regular exercise and you're golden
